Sorry...a foriegner who buys land, builds a house...all at great expense and hasssle and then rents it out is in no way a "Bonefishing Lodge" is any sense of the expression. And there are no " Bonefishing Lodges" on many of the islands that bonefishermen frequent...so your position on that matter is total bullsh*t duppyVat.
My first reaction to the article was....oh no...ATRs have a history of icing...bad choice.....second reaction was ....why? Stick with what you know...go with the updated version of the Dash series....
Ok...he is foriegn, most probably Swiss....he was driving...so you can be 100% sure he had his Bahamian drivers license on him....since a foriegner can't get a Bahamian drivers license without showing proper immigration documentation the immigration officers could have 1) instructed him to wait at the checkpoint while he phoned his wife/gf/secretary etc to bring his documents,
2) or instruct him to present himself at Hawkins Hil by 4 pm with his documents or
3) taken his details from his license and car docs and told him to go get his permit and return to the checkpoint within a set amount of time. This guy wasn't going to disappear into the bush or into the ghetto if he had been allowed to go get his documents.
Anybody who is calling Nassau or The Bahamas a police-state or anything near to a police-state is too stupid to be believed. That kind of comment just proves you are living in La-La Land and have never, ever experienced anything close to a police-state let alone a real police-state. Fools!
