On the road running alongside the water in front of OutIsland Building to exit in front of old Toogoods that area I am almost certain the area eas offically designated as an official Green Area zone by the Former PM area Hubert Ingraham along with many other coast areas so that the entire people of the Bahamas can get to see the water views that have been blocked in so many areas. The area is not meant for asphalt or parking for one of the webshop opeartors who had a business across the road or some business that opened to the public with about 2 parking spaces or any commercial parking for businesses. Whosoever that have chosen to block our views should be hauled before the courts and jailed and jail keys thrown away so they too can have their views blocked.!!!

With every change in govt there must staff on board to carry out work for the betterment in fullfilling good and better governance.
Given the audacious examples of policies wasting money and money not there to justly paying those who have worked and assist the pore then they simply have to go. How in the world one can still keep those who have facilitated, participated, abbeted formulated, those policies that worked against the people.
Even communist govt when changed there is the purges. There must be a paradime shift.....fully agree wid OMG

The government has already set aside to pay to settle some issues.
This clearly demonstrates that this could have been resolved past 10 years ago with different govt.
There would be senior officials who then could have recommended payment but obviously wasnt successfull, but now with the revealing stories of millions for over sozed clinics to serve few patients, new clinics cannot be staffed when existing is understaffed, etcetc.
Somehow appears that persons may have kept quiet over the past years.
One reason that have come up in the past is victimizatio, keep quiet, need noone to labek you not a team player, need to have that paycheck to feed children, blood pressure already high.....there must be some Authority where the small man, pore can get matters resolved instead as some allegedly used to do an wait outside Papas gate.

Health Minister Dr. Duane Sands "inherited a problem that the nurses have been arguing about for about several years without solution, and a hospital that is short for money even for mrdical supplies.."
While mamy officials are in critical decision making positions and have phenominal experience to do the best jobs possible....it must be remembered there is that viscious, cruel, inhumane, punishing words called fear of victimization and victimization that seems to exist. Mr Brown has been courageous in putting together his recommendations and Dr Sands has noted the issues inherited.

Yes it is now have exposed for all to see the millions of dollars to build clinics that are overbuilt to only serve a handfull of patients a day, clinic that would not even be properly staffed to be built and existing clinic cannot be staffed, clinic building not yet built but huge hill levelled etcetc....yet taxpayers money have been spent .....while it appears more extreme critical problems exist that any official could and have seen for years.

Not to do with the above but many experienced officials and citizens feel the victimization hurt, pain for family, no promotions, monies withheld lives destroyed, lives degraded, quitting jobs, depression, high blood pressure, medical illnesses, children removed fron schools, target for scorn, ridicule, labelled the famous expression -not a team player if they do not go along with the program of some who should be told no or advised properly, perhaps comprpmise plans scaled down. And some of course dont want to hear any excuses. And some just have the power to do it regardless....But many must suffer the horrible word called fear of victimization and victimization.
There must be some unit or recourse where anyone can go to seek help...committees to resolve instead to have to wait and suffer for years until the government is changed and some new official sees things differently...

Kudos to Constable Taylor for standing up, especially way past the level of rresolving this matter in house committee, etc and that he had some financial ability to do so to get resolution!!!!

Yes but the 'ancillary Commissions, Boards,, Agencies' are where politiacl party doners, supporters are placed as rewards for support and in places where it appesrs further support is given to other supporters.. A good examination would be the Bank of yhe Bahamas where it appears many politicians got loans and defaulted and continuous sums of the taxpayers money injected. For,er Prime Minister Hubert Ingraham raised concerns, current Prime Minister raised concerns. And this is a bank also with 3000 private citizen shareholders who saw shares plummet in value because of bad loans many alledge are by one set of politicians !!!!
At the root of these committees, Boards, etc seems that campaign finnance reform instead of rewarding supporters to these positions.

Well the Courts are already plugged up it appears and more aggravation does not help and likely to have customers creative ways to circumvent.

As water is critical to humans the problems of the past should be first corrected before pushing the bus to go full speed. All those old time dinosaurs in the system with cubicles of their family pictures of their babies from birth to them with greatgrandchildren ?? We need fresh team impartial to friends familiy lovers who owe. Fair play is needed, people with funny names and foreign looks are a part of society and have always been they too struggle.
Problems of estimates of water meters should ne a thing of the past because irate customers simply have to complain to 30 people to feel some satisfaction its out of their system. Strong handed measures on the pore is only likeky to aggravate an already bad situation many families are experiencing and denial or restriction of water a critical function of human existance should be done with great care instead of a sledge hammer.
Delinquents should be encouraged to pay even in partions which is what the Courts sould mandate anyhow. Wriite offs in proportions payments made should be encouraged. Overpayments to purcjhse water for discounts offered. Hotlines to report sispected illegal hookups eencoirahed etcetc Encouragement of building homes with water cisterns to catch rainwater to flush toilets. Etceycetc Can the w&s try horizontal growth, try bottling water???

.....not only to 'trim the fat' with the oversaturated public service who the govt have to operate on overdraft paying interest and bank charges to pay salaries.......until now the nationsl debt is close to $8 billion and the country debt is close to gdp ratio is up to 67.8%.....all of these entities need forensic audits and where policies and law are not followed and malfeasance persons need to go to jail.....35 to 4 glaringly historically record says people demand action..
