Perhaps he should negotiate and acquire fertile Haitian land on a 99 year lease pay a nominal fee and grow crops using the huge abundance of farm labour. Persons can be repatriated fron the Bahamas and if desiring jobs get first preferance. Bahamian Haitian venture can also be joined by other caricom menbers.

Investigate how all those loans got to be toxic and how 100 million was paid for assets worth some 22.5 million, and investigate.

This bank has further gobbled up 40 plus 10 million in govt pirchasing 'rights' issue plus 167 million plus 100 million in the works week or so ago. All to be borne by taxpayers?????????

Question is if the last 100 million is to be sought from the private sector..... then why didnt the private sector purchase the 40 rights issue which the govt was forced to buy??????????
.....And with the rights issue the share prices also fell from around 5.22 yo less than 1 dollar losing some 160 ?million in value.

Clearly the bank should be divested aka sold but then again a due diligence would have to be done, so why the continupus delays?????????

We know the good Bishop is a tru tru Bahamian who went yo Haitii to visit some years ago. He has been active in ttying for a better Bahamas mgore than many persons for grnerations and was championing the cause of the Bahamjans who got ripped off by Clico himself included....of course the Board should have been accountable especially any insurance company looks to invest all dose premiums but Clico for some unusual reason was borrowing from banks to buy office buildings which should have been a concern to the Central Bank and also how monies left the country to go to Florida to buy property.
Then again while we are at the Clico busoness perhaps we should look at Clico affiliates and principal Lawrence Duprey of Trinidad and other companies espevially oil and gas.
The Boafd of Clico Bahamas should have been held accountable and jailed if they were responsible. Not the Bahamian taxpayer.
