A bigger picture is the health of the US and whose Tourism industry is several times larger than the Bahamian tourism industry employing millions of workers. The US workers are also affected, air industry travel, shopping, hotels, cruise ship industry many associated integrated businesses affected. Getting back to health and conditions of all is the wealth to all.

Seems all the direction of the Police Force is in buying devices and program in dealing with crime After the dangerous usually lives being shot damages done. The methods just seem old fashioned even though using new technology.

To put a dent into the Crime instead of using cameras, speeding Police cars, Ambulance showing up, Funeral car collecting dead victims at crime scene.....there should be Police investing into areas like high qualified Police Officers questioning alleged criminals in those Police questioning offices, booths, with one way mirrors wall with officers being observing, there should be more use of highly trained Canine Division to have dogs sniff out drugs, weapons etc, there should be more emphasis on Detectives, to investigate gangs, continuous flow of illegal guns etc. on this small island. There should be investigations following leads to prevent etc. Impossible all these years never broken open criminal gangs, human traffickings operators etcetc.

All these years its time to put a stop or dent to Crime BEFORE it occurs than emphasis to dealing with Crime AFTER it happens.

Why have thousands of elderly Bahamians move all over the place to deal with Officials signing forms as Public Official,Minister of Religion, Attorney, Bank Manager, Magistrate, Justice of the Peace to sign forms etc.... then parking, lining up etc .......when Government Officials don't phone, email, the Govern,ent Mortuary dept, or Funreal Homes for Govt Death Certificates of the deceased pensioners and amend the NIB Pension payment list.?????

Isn't there a Bahamas Govt Department not issuing Death Certificates to know which Pensioner have passed away and inform the NIB..????...Or, mabye the NIB official can read the Newspapers Thursday Obituary Section and cross off those deceased persons names on NIB records from continuing to receive the pension.

The Captain and crew of this sloop carrying dozens of passengers and landed thank goodness safely on shore need to be charged for endangering the lives of passengers carrying them in Bahamian waters.

All passenger carrying boats must have same passanger safety standards as Bahamian passenger vessels in Bahamian waters. Captain and crew must be be held accountable to the law.

The biggest Christmas present seems obvious that everyone on the sloop landed safely on shore.

He should resign and/or obviously remove the personnel in the Ministry and replace with new personnel. Cannot have the staff, bureaucracy existing for years doing the same works and expecting different results.

The Bahamas National Feeding Network comprising of numbers of Charitable Entities, Churches and hundreds of volunteers to seek and supply food to over 100,000 persons on different islands during this crisis should have an award !!!!!!

...indeed, simply unbelievable! The Government of the Commonwealth of the Bahamas has signed the Paris Climate Change in 2016 to reduce fossil fuel etc along with some 180 other nations. The agreements and legalities of various other Climate Clange by the Government is for erry Bahamian entire nation length, breadth, babies, adults, judges, errybody Bahamian, on islands in world most succeptable to having some 80% living space by sea levels rising if temp not reduced less than 2 degrees. Countrywill be adversely affected in errybody and next generation within end of century if Climate Change adverse conditions prevail.

Already Govt has gone before the UN in Paris, UN Headquarters, to inform the world. Govt has already had the Head United Nations in Bahamas looking of increasing Hurricane Dorian disaster, Govt even bin on CBS TV network Sixty Minutes on going Green in Solar energy in Ragged Island etc. Govt of the Bahamas has legislated and banned supermarket plastic bags etc. etc.....makes the citizens comply and successfully done and national pride.

And now Tribanon...unbelievable...the continued group of oil drilling operators going against national agreements.... and drilling up making Bahamians nation done signing International Climate Chnge papers look bad, ...what Bahamians have signed and indicated to the World internationally, some 180 nations, our word and trust to live up to.

Mr. Potter apart from dealing with Bahamian officials also dealing with Cuban Communists of any Oil Spill would be heading south towards Communist Cuba. Seems Mr. Potter and the Communists in agreement with this seems to require more in depth analysis because the Communists failed to tell Potter that thousands of Cubans seeking to flee their Communist regime would take to fleeing by jumpimg into inflated inner rubber tire tubes lashed together and by using the currents and winds to drift towards the US. Mr. Potter seems unaware of Cubans making makeshift rafts to float north away from Cuba to the US. Bahamians know this Cubans using currents and wind to go north to had for decades had a US 'wet foot dry foot policy' to give sanctuary to Cubans floating the ocean and reach dry shores, usually tourists beaches of the US.

Banks operate with a battery of lawyers and law firms selected by them and on their "Approved List" with whom Comsumers business are referred to or are "selected" by the comsumer. The Banks have all the clauses and fine print to stick any of the charges and money costs to Consumer(s) and backed up by "Approved" lawyers. The lucrative business from Banks are always sought after by Lawyers. Ironically, the Bahamas does not have a Consumer Financial Protection Bureau to protect Consumers and many consumers having aggrieved, blatent injustices etc. And after any Consumer financial issue with Bank usually leaves Consumer with money shortfall and endless back and forth frustrations there is no money to pay to lawyer....and if there is money to pay lawyer will have Lawyers claiming Conflict on going up against Banks with the deepest money pockets. Consumers need Consumer Financial Protection Bureau to protect them., represent them on financial concerns.

Dealing with rampant inefficiencies, corruption in country in a lucrative ganga field opens pandora box. The limited local markets likely extend to the illegal transporting from small limited Bahamas to US markets controlled by gangs, Kingpins etc. Likely big business in go fast boats, home made subs, remote, air trafficking, yachts.....even all along to old grammy sitting on some dope in her wheelchair trying to go through US local Customs Border. Opens to many other parts is the illegal guns and weapons, more Crowns lands corrupted original use for local vegetables for lucrative ganga growing. If existing Legislation and laws not abided by and enforced then its unlikely to have any new laws regulating new ganga industry enforced.
