Dealing with rampant inefficiencies, corruption in country in a lucrative ganga field opens pandora box. The limited local markets likely extend to the illegal transporting from small limited Bahamas to US markets controlled by gangs, Kingpins etc. Likely big business in go fast boats, home made subs, remote, air trafficking, yachts.....even all along to old grammy sitting on some dope in her wheelchair trying to go through US local Customs Border. Opens to many other parts is the illegal guns and weapons, more Crowns lands corrupted original use for local vegetables for lucrative ganga growing. If existing Legislation and laws not abided by and enforced then its unlikely to have any new laws regulating new ganga industry enforced.

The Bahamas is ranked 182 out of 184 countries in the Covid-19 recovery process. I was out yesterday and saw some 2 dozen plus people on pavements walking close together, in front of stores chatting to others plain without masks, some with masks under chin etc. If conintued devient cannot be controlled by established lawful authorities during regular hours seems not further effective after forced lockdowns. Perhaps many large noticable roadside signs with carefull wording advisory should be erected in dense populated areas with much foot traffic etc. Constituencies offices, bulk of them especially eastern side of island, more than half of dense population should be manufacturing/sewing machine mass producing approved reusable washable masks and FREE given out many mask to households and photocopied pamplets Covid-info etc.

@tribanon, the now no vaccine Covid-19 affects "normal" pre Covid-19 way of life as it imposes host of stress critical concerns on functions. Ie the mechanics doing their job now have to be wary of other mechanic working alongside, health safety measures and other interaction situations inside job and outside job, traffic controllers, airport maintenance may be concerned by co worker improper wearing mask sanitized workplace etc. distracting fro, their efficiencies on job. Workers will now focus on personal safety first. World has changed adding more stresses on workers trying to have same level of efficiencies pre Covid-19. New situation with stresses of Covid-19 will affect jobs efficiencies done in chain of work.

"Earllier this year, the Bahamas National Commission on Marijuans recommrnded that possession up to on ounce of the sustamce be decrimolized for people over 21."

Question is why should people at 18 years old voting for National Elections for govt, having ability to contract legally as adult and the Bahamas National Commission puutting the age of marijuana possession for people over 21...???? If you are legally adult at 18 years old then why this registered National entity using for nation the age of 21...???

On the "What's Next?" suggestions would be to employ some persons and have them in the Constituencies Offices with sewing machines and suitable fabric to create masks that can be washed and resused. Reusable washable masks should be given out free of charge ..and small refillable spray bottles sanitizers.....and no one should be left out and supplied with a number of masks. Present trend seems to be giving out the Disposable blue masks in urban areas knowing fully well that residents in dense populated urban areas go out few times a week versus wealthier citizens can stay home for longer times. Prolonged continuous virus seems for months and months until vaccine comes and the island economy on tourism brings hundreds of thousands to our shores by air and sea. Many durable reusable continuous masks production are needed for this small 7 x 21 mile island and other islands. Few days ago on going through Palmdale there must have a dozen persons along entire main street walking, mingling close to others and in front of stores without masks or below neck. Yesterday on stopping in line of some 10 vehicles in Palmdale there was a young man without mask going to ask money. at every car window. Police should be in unmarked Police cars patrolling all areas including side streets.

Thank you Dr. Forbes and all front line warriors.

The Doctor like having epiphany like Lockdowns ain't seem to be working should add Lockdowns to her list of other local words like Accountability, Transparency, Zero Tolerance (used in relation to Police curbing offences).

@tribanon, always have to admire your dogged persistance in your quest. Adding to your list should be the changing of the photo graphic of a blue mask at top of these Coviid 19 stories. The blue mask with the words intentionally written "Covid-19" and parallel to the metal strip would seem to be upside down if the mask is worn. The shiny metal strip should bbe at top of wearer's face so that wearer presses the metat strip over their nose to have the mask materiel close to the skin to close any gaps of air and mask not snug and tight.

Trib., On your point 1) you realize that these blue masks and similar onesare disposable and regretably authorities should be giving away sewing machines and bolts of suitable fabric for eaach constituency to be sewing them as it seems Covid seems to be long time. Instead of authorities buying endless foreign disposable masks, it would be more feasible to sew local masks here that each person can have several more permanent ones to wash and wear.

On the 2) point you obviously are on top of the local news looking at people having the masks keep slipping off their noses, its funny and what they can do is twist the elastic strap each side to x shape and then put elastic around their ears, a little more tension to have mask stay in place.

Good point on the construction of concrete sidewalks and flooding. The sidewallks being elevated and lower portions for homeowners, businesses access will channel rain water into driveways, entrances, yards and in these areas many homes use septic tanks in yards which should be of serious concern to all being flooded. Added to challenge is the highly traffic streets in these areas during heavy rainfall pushes flood waters further into yards. Before the concrete sidewalks and road widening there must be plans on overall sewage systems and effective drainage system.
