It is the people of the entire Bahamas who suffers.
We expect by the choice of the people in elections that we have a very capable Opposition to investigate and fight for the very very best arguments and fierce challenges that her majesty loyal opposition must give.
There are ways and means that ony Opposition who feel that something is not right can take.
The Democratic system that has served us so well cannot be said to not have the means to prevent any abuse of power.
We the people should not have to wait 5 years later and suffer when we have an Opposition to stop any abuse of powers by any government.
Why wasnt the Opposition not able to do its opposing at that time. Something is wrong constitutional flaw if we the people have to be paying all MPs does nott matter which political party for how many years and wrongdoing continues and only known only if and when another party comes into power.
We the people should not have to wait 5 years which seem to be happening and costing us.

......it is democratic for anyone to ask for a pay increase as the MP Robinson is now doing within the first 6 months of a salary increase from $28,000 to around $60,000 to $70,000.
A 100% increase, good for him employee, now its up to the govt the employer
On the other hand there are some MPs who I do not believe the nation can afford to pay them because they have given up jobs paying much more for the privilage and honour of being called by the people to serve our Bahamaland. And this is not to say that MP Robinson is not doing the same and even possibly more to serve our Bahamaland.

Actually Sir Baltron is the employee who justified his worth for a contract to reflect all imformation his employer printed in the contract.

Anyone who can get the gpvt, its agencies, its lawyers etcetc to pay them what they have put forward their position to be good for them. Any arguments against should be directed to the govt, agents, lawyers etc. NOT the employee..

We have to stop blaming the wrong parties like blaming to overloaded teller instead of management, blaming the foreigner for whatever challenges instead of going to who is in charge, blame the govt who chooses to rent , blame the govt officials who allow tinted cars to break the law, blame the bush mrchanic, blame the really cheap contractor, blame the officials for D education, blame the mortgage customers who were given marginal loans they had little chance of successfully repaying back, blame the pyramid scheme operators, blame the web shops, . etcetcetc
A proper Diagnosis is needed.

We need to have a comprehensive coordinated plan to tackle growing food.
There are new actually standard techniques etc computerized timers etc and as a matter of fact Freeport once boasted aquaponic tomato farming decades ago. The Heasties had a thriving citrus farm in Andros, Levy in Eleuthera, the Mennonites are excellent farmers, Minas in Freeport, Lucayan, Shrimp farming etcetc. We had a heck of an agriculture business that seemed to have fallen to the tourism big bucks industry.
BAMSI is a wonderful plan but got got bogged down in trash politics and needs to continue.
Currently farmers all seem to grow the same crops of the last output was profitable and glut reduces prices.
The agriculture potential is unlimited, other nations have turned deserts into farms and we can certainly do that and profit in reducong billion dollar food bill and exporting to the biggest market next door.

For a long time other nations have been trying to shake loose our offshore business and we comply like IBC changes. We pose unfair competition as we have no corporate or income tax as do our competitors. On a number of fronts a tax seem warrented but it must be coupled with success in stopping wasteful dollars, curruption, crime, accountability, transparency, freedom of information and create independent agencies like a Financial conduct Authority or Financial Services Agency like Britain in 2013. Other ways to attrsct and maintain clients like cleaning up Nassau, lowering crime, utility rates for clients and slso a nice decent financial office complex as ee have always been a major player with highly trained professionals.

Banning food items only encourage illegal smugglling.
Every year we ship back 5,000 illegal mostly Haishuns who can psy some 2,000 for passage here. We have more weapons smuggled in, we have more cocaine judging from the amounts being found. We have more officials and equipment to stop smuggling yet...
We need more serious penalties.

Convenience stores provide a valuable service to many poor in the innercity and the pricing structure is unfair to them as they do not buy directly from manufacturers but from local wholesalers and have to compete with the wholesslers and chain foodstores with ecomonies of scale and best synergies. They should be able to increase prices at least to the point where a bus fare to the big store would not be opted for. Fairness should prevail.

Make the designated safe parks in more areas.
Exercise people should not have to walk the roads dodging traffic..

Excellent that It is now known that OUR Lord and Saviour is everything.
State and Church are separate, or you proposing a Christian state.
But at this juncture to use this to go after many more millennials, someone should have told you by now that many millennials are into themselves and still live at home wid their ma and pa.
Wrong political strategy for voters.
Try the one from the sweat of thy brow ........lets change the whole Bahamian view instead of voting one out lets be inspired to vote a party in and possibly a third or fourth or fifth.....
