Sorry, I disagree. I would NEVER sell large parcels of land to foreigners, EVER..
Once that's done, a piece of very limited real estate, (on an island or cay,) is gone forever.
Why not lease the property to the foreigner for (say) 10-15 years at a time at a small fee, with the provision that they MUST develope whatever they applied to use it for, and IF not done in a certain period of time, it reverts back to The Bahamas Government, or the local owner.
That way we would get the "promised jobs" and help build the economy and self reliance of that island, and IF they under (or don't) perform, the land doesn't stay in their possession..

How about developing some type of lenses to go on glasses/shades that will identify Virisus in the air via a glow or some other marker. (At least one can tell where the germs are around them.

Would agree to curbside pick up for pre paid groceiries, but NOT home delivery. MUCH too dangerous..

Testing is a must...
btw: The idea of banning the importation of non surgical face masks at this time, (to encourage local industry) is VERY unwise...
Reeks of Nationalism, AND someone having the "ear" of the government and pusing their agenda..
IF these masks help, they need to be available from EVERY source, not just a few "elete" local manufacturers to take advantage of a crisis and make a lot of money...
Would be courious when (and how many) local masks will be on the market after the ban goes through and the ROI (profit margins) that will be on them...

Someone needs to develope a spray similar to what forensic science uses to detect old blood at crime scenes. Then package them in small aerosol cans so that people can buy them and use them as needed. (Would have to be non toxic, and not contaminate any surfaces.. )
Also, maybe insolated gloves (and face masks?) for the first responders and health workers that have heat on the outside that could help netralize the bacterias.
And "shoppers" are a no brainer. (Used in The U.S.) One would down load an app. shop and pay online (including vat and tip) and a pick up time would be displayed for the shopper to go to the store and receive their bags outside at their cars. (The app. in The U.S. has the ability to text/call the store when you are coming, AND when (and where) you are in the parking lot of the store.

No no no... We are a small country that large international companies use to their advantage to get out of paying the taxes and fall under cerain regulations in their countries. Why do we all take the money? As a small Nation, it's very much needed. As for the cruise lines? Keeping in mind the hunderds of millions of $$ that they have saved over the years by registering their business in another country; they need to be made to spend some of it by their passenger's home countries to take care of their own citizens. this is not on us! When times are normal we NEVER hear from the cruise lines regarding doing anything out of the ordinary to help The Bahamas. (Unless you want to include the purchasing of our islands and cays with the blessings of VERY short sighted administrations..)
