unfortunately though, the "humans" in this nations ARE acting worse than "dogs"... And yes human life is more valuable. Thus that gives us also more responsibility for our actions. Unfortunately people here in the bahamas (some, not all ) either can't recognize their role as humans or won't. You can ferret out the answer on which it is, in acts like the above mentioned.
This type of stupidity just reflects the level of immaturity the people have here. They reflect poorly on all of us as well as the politicians and the government as a whole. Eventually this country will (hopefully) mature beyond the 5th grade level and learn how to be "big boys and girls". Grow up people
That is extremely optimistic for sure! These type fires burn deep inside the mounds and that requires ALOT of digging to get to them. So please, fire department, do a thorough job of digging this up and dealing with it! We as well as the tourist would greatly appreciate being able to breathe freely again in the near future!
WOW, that is great to hear! Thank goodness the nation has such resources. Too bad we can't just kick the Customs workers in the ass and say goodbye to them all!! Thanks Defense Force and commanders.
Other than just having 3 trucks. It takes "manpower" and machinery to combat these types of fires. It takes more than just "damping down" the fire. IT takes unearthing the hot spots and digging. Is this going to be the new "normal" for NP? Hope not! This fire, like our good friends at the airport, also affects how people enjoy or think about the island.
Lets just hope the candidates can stick to that "good, clean, fair election." theme. Unfortunately, the candidates available just present us with a choice between "the lesser of two evils".....
The police officer, as well as news papers disregard for prudent public safety by stating "possibility of gang wars" gives fuel to the members of the gangs to do just that...start a gang war! Sometimes things go best "unsaid" or "un-printed"....having lived in Souther California, i know first hand that printed words can easily lead to disastrous physical actions...so watch what you say and print (have some responsibility paper!), as well as police. Your words may very likely come back to haunt you....
