I don't get it. If the hotel opens, he makes money, so how is he “obstructing” the completion and opening of the Cable Beach project for his own gain? What is there for him to gain by keeping the hotel closed?

Well if it is not the position of the government then you need to discipline them. You weak, poor excuse for a leader.

Islandgirl, I could not have said It any better myself. This guy's ego is too big for himself. They retaliate against anyone who dare criticize them. This government has done little to better the lives of ordinary Bahamians, but everything to enrich themselves while running the country into the ground. I am surprised that the "mouthpiece", Brad has not attacked Rollins yet.

What puzzles me is the fact that someone who sees all these deficiencies in a government can still be holding onto their coattail and hoping that they are re-elected to another term in 2017. Mr. Bodie has pointed out a laundry list of gaffes, missteps and failures, but is still willing to support this party in 2017. Hmmmmm, very interesting.

Who cares what this has-been, PLP reject has to say? Perhaps he should take a long, hard look at his failed party and offer his opinion on how they can do a better job for which they were elected.

Newcitizen, it is your way of thinking that has this country in the deep mess it is in today. I agree with what mudda_take_sick had to say. We don't demand accountability and that is why our country is in such a mess today. To say nothing happened is no excuse for such an irresponsible act. Every individual who was a part of this despicable act should be discioplined to ensure this kind of thing never ever happens again

It is mind boggling that any right thinking person would see nothing wrong with this (then again I did say right thinking). This is totally unacceptable. Have we lost our minds as a people? The fact that she is class salutatorian means that she is an intelligent young lady and aught to have known better. The people who facilitated her in this blatant abuse of this public emergency vehicle should also have known better and a clear message must be sent that this will not be tolerated. Emergency vehicles should never be used for anything other than what they are intended for. Quite frankly. I think this prom thing has gone way too far anyway.

Why should the taxpayers have to pick up the tab for their loss? In business there is something called risks, no guarantee your product will sell. The risk is something that the business owner takes and my hard earned tax money should not go to bailing out people who chose to take the risks. But this is the hallmark of this administration - just be aligned with them and you straight. This culture of handing out has to stop. People are struggling to make ends meet and then the government puts another burden on our backs in the form of VAT and this is how they are squandering away our money?

If it is in fact true that PAC only possesses the power to send for persons, papers and records by way of a resolution in the House of Assembly, then PAC is only a waste of time. This was proven when Andre Rollins moved for tha appointment of a select committee to investigate the Rubin report. It will all boil down to politics, AGAIN.
