Actually the term is , Strong arm tactics . Geez at least get the phrase right ,,lmao It is usually written , Strong-arm tactic . Strong man is usually written Strongman and refers to a Dictator or warlord .

What benefits ,,2 billion on the debt and no major or minor infrastructure project , 400 million walking out the front door of BOB to cronies and friends , 20 million a year for cronies and friends to bring in a Trinidadian and have a carnival , legalizing the numbers houses after the people voted 3 to 1 against it and then to add insult to injury taxing them a pittance .

Yes there dumping and polluting was awful and they should have to pay us .However we never paid Carnival to come here !! They pay us a departure tax for every guest they bring here .We collect about 300 million a year in this tax from cruise ship .Now if you are talking about tax concessions for the private islands remember there are other sun ,sand a sea competing for them ,Caymans , Turks ,,etc etc .We make money off every guest they bring through our waters w the per person tax ,plus what they spent on shore puts it over 400 million a year ,,everyone is entitled to their own opinion however everyone can,t just make up their own facts

Two thoughts , I live on a family Island that's doing well , lots of jobs and houses being built .I drive through our capital and everyday I see and know 50 to a 100 abled body Bahamian males standing around , by the numbers house , the liquor store bumming money or begging ciggerettes..The hatian guys are on the building site or doing people yard for 80 to 100 dollars a day .And all this chatter we Bahamians been selling this country to them for 40 years ,,every politician always had 20 or more works permits for their indentured servants ,,My second thoughts the comments here give a 100% proof that the Dunning Kruger effect is real

In forty years we have proven we can not provide reliable power at a reasonable rate ,,sign the deal w Shell NA and give it to some one who can ..Also when u privatize like the telephone industry it weakens the union b/c the politicians can,t cow tow to them for votes ,,This is too important and industry and for forty years we have failed !!

We have not been able to provide reliable power since the late 1970,s ,,although we charge some of the highest rates in the region ,,The new Wartsilla engines are a step in the right direction ,,then sign the deal w Shell , weaken the union and turn it over to people who know how to produce electricity ,,ie Shell .I think the forty year failure to provide reliable power at a reasonable price is proof enough we can not do it !!

We will get the PLP or FNM ..I like Chester Cooper , I wish he would switch to the FNM ,,be DPM and then next time PM .Yes there have been some corrupt FNMs but I don,t accept that the party is as corrupt as the PLP have become .
