The board recommends .The decision is up to the MP who has the corporation in his portfolio .The PM can go w that decision or intervine and make his own decision,,unless its something that needs the vote of parliament . In our system a board is picked for a government run company by the MP responsible for that company .The managers make the day to day decision .The board makes recomendations but ultimately it is the Minister in consultation w the Prime who makes the big decisions .
