Actually I live in Exuma and this is B S .The winter residents have been getting away w grossly under value appraisals for years and the realtor/appraiser were in on it .I remember one from Texas boasting at the P and P how he got his house appraised at 157,000 ,which was waterfront w a dock that he later sold for 500,000 . Another I know said how low our property taes were compared to their state .I know a house now appraised at 1/2 a million that is on the market for 3 million .Because now we are trying to get real assesments they are making noise ..remember a couple grand goes a long way w some appraisers
