John I,m not going to list the numbers for you , like 10,000 people when 4 ships are in spending 85 dollars each on Bay Street , that 850,000 dollars a day ,,add that with the departure tax , usage tax etc etc per passengers the cruise industry puts close to a billion dollars a year in our economy ..Big players get to have bigger voices thats how capitalism works .Also the cruise line warn guest not to go in certain areas to protect them from liability .
Okay assuming these numbers are correct , there is no way anyone could take over this debt and make a profit .BPL debt will be moved on to the national debt and passed on to our children and grand children through taxes . Then with the amount of money that has to be put in to make it reliable and with only a customer base of 400,000 , if you count the big hotels as multiply customers , there is no way there can be much rate reductions and the new partners make money .
The writer watches too much fox news . The interest rate had been kept artificially low w qaunitive spending since the great recession . All mayor economies suffered from inflation , GB , Canada, European union ,because of the money the governments pumped into the economy bc of covid .Gas was as low as 1.80 a gallon under Trump bc of Covid and no demand .The U S is now pumping more oil than anytime in history .I work in high end tourism and the guest are spending and tipping , even the Republicans that cry about Biden .The Trump years before Covid were good , the last two years under Biden have been fantastic .All the rich Repubs are buying land and building big Arbnbs
birdie Ingraham made it possible for all Bahamians to buy shares in the port for as little as five hundred dollars ,and civil servants could buy shares and have it deducted from their pay w no interest .Did you buy any ???
We shouldn,t be , but to make it attractive to the new partners, owners , the government will have to write off BPL legacy debt to the government .Leaving us the tax payer responsible for another half a billion . THEN the new companies will have to make a profit so don,t expect rate reductions
I did not think black or white , that is his nickname , but by your reasoning we went from white people robbing us to black people robbing us but thats okay
Snake is already renting generators to BPL ,, why not gp all in lmao ..Also it may get more reliable but not cheaper , these new partners, owners , will have to make a profit

You do realize our murder rate is something like 38 per 100,000 , while the U S is something like 4 per 100 ,000
