Perry is right on this one though ............. Bahamians have to stop supporting these foreign based banks and become members of their local credit unions where they can become OWNERS instead of SLAVES in the economy.
Will the politicians ever support their own or continue to suck up to the foreigners??????
Perry need to say "Take your money out of the banks and put it in the credit unions" But then again, the average Bahamian doesnt have $1000 in the bank........... and the rich Bahamians will never support "local" banking institutions................. so we remain in the catch22
If the Bahamians do not buy into the idea ......... it will FAIL. That is the problem ............ Bahamians do not see Carnival as anything Bahamian. That is why it is so stupid for the PLP government to push this idea if 75% of Bahamians cannot see it as worthy to support.
This Bahamas Junkanoo Carnival illusion will not get any traction ................ this will die a slow death just like what Pindling and the PLP did to Edmund Moxey and Jumbey Village .......................... its KARMA
Where is the MOU or relevant contract between the government and Renew?????? Has this been tabled in Parliament for public access and for Public Accounts Committee review?????
If you are a Bahamian, you are entitled to public education (subject to the education regulations). If you are a non-Bahamian, the government is requiring that you secure proper documents to show the school administration your status in the country. That is not discrimination ......... that is following proper procedures.
Is it right for a child to be registered in a public or private school without proper documentation?
**COB requires that a child must present a copy of his/her passport with his application. Is that discrimination????? When is it now mandatory that a citizen must obtain a passport?????**
Sooooooooooo, does the three tier category system mean that those islands with tier 2 or 3 level airports can almost write off any government development for many years to come??????
Who is relegated to Tier 2 and Tier 3????????
Why not look to develop the least developed airports with public-private partnerships like Mayaguana Airport?????????
America operates by this rule: do as i say..... not as i do. We see this everyday and we have these do-gooders coming here and crying about our "deficiencies" while the US is just as guilty of the same issues: immigration, education standards, discrimination laws, poverty & crime, prison rates of non-whites etc.
if each before his doorstep swept ...............................
This is how the members will be disadvantaged as a result of the Executive Council not providing proper leadership and accountability. The members should call for an immediate AGM and fire ALL of them ........... and have a new leadership team run that Union.
