While reviewing changes in tax system, perhaps a revolutionary change could be made in how to manage the VAT account...set up a separate account to hold the funds! We, the people, could be more easily informed about how our dollars are being spent. This present Consolidated Fund can too easily become the Cookie Jar!
Our fiscal commitments are in good hands! I support the efforts of the new government to lead us out of the mucky financial swamp to firmer ground. It will not be easy, but at least we, the people, will be informed every step of the way. Finally, a government doing business in the light of day rather than the dark of night. Blessings!
Word on the street here is the government has already prepared for devaluation but instructed financial entities to keep plans secret until after election! No longer will our dollar be pegged to US $ as ours will be worth 50percent less. We are done. Happy Christmas!
No lessons learned from Joaquin? Aid still being withheld from the needy because they don't know how to give it? If the roof is gone what more evidence is needed? Guess they making interest on the donations or paying for big loans they made!
Many citizens are worried and fear the worse! The powers-that-be continue to wear their rose-coloured glasses and ignore the signs of impending doom as they prepare for their re-election by spreading our hard-earned tax money around the place on massive projects that we cannot afford. Better start saving those American dollars!
Extremely well said, ikalikl! Many citizens will agree but sadly, mourn the lack of such persons. However, let us remain optimistic. There must be a champion somewhere out there!
The fire station is smack in the middle of a residential area...Will they use a silent siren so as not to disturb the people's sleep?? Speeding along a major highway each time is also a scary scenario. There are three schools in the area as well. Oh well, that's progress.
So Sarkis loses 1B+Dollars??? He gets nothing for his money, his efforts and his vision that developed the whole project? This can't be right. What am I missing?
