While you all are beating up your gums, we now have 2500 more much needed test kits. If it is a quid pro quo, so be it.
Thank you Dr. Sands for securing these kits. You would have been damned if you didn't and as you can see you are damned because you did. So carry on smartly. You and your team are doing an excellent job!!
Thank you Blanco for stepping up to the challenge. It' s so good to see Bahamian companies doing their part to assist during this crisis. Kudoes also to the Sign Man for making the face shields and the companies in Exuma and Nassau for making the hand sanitizers!
Now let's use this as a catalyst to get manufacturing up and running in the country.
Yes, this is good stuff. We need to get back to the business of manufacturing/producing our own goods. We have the talent right here in these islands to do it.
All you people do is sit around and complain. You all had better be thankful that you **ARE** in the Bahamas. It could have been far worse. First world countries like Italy and even our dear friends in the USA have suffered tremendous loss due to this deadly virus. They are still trying to get this thing right.
This is a disaster that no one has seen within our lifetime and as far as I am concerned, the government is doing a decent job. It's the Bahamian people who are making it hard on themselves by acting like a pack of fools with no common sense, not adhering to the advice of the medical professionals, making their loved ones sick and bringing unnecessary illness on the rest of the population.
So my advice to all of you feel the need to complain is: **shut the heck up** and listen to the advice of the medical team led by Dr. Sands. The life you save may end up being your very own!
Maybe it is time to cut salaries. If the private sector had to furlough its employees to survive, what is wrong with the government cutting salaries by 20% in order to do the same. These are some tough times, nothing should be off the table when it comes to our survival as a nation! I know civil servants may not want to hear that, but it is the truth!
@Dawes, I have heard of many people who applied online and received their funds in their bank account. There must be something wrong on the applicant's side. People love to complain and point blame without correctly assessing their role in a situation. But like you, I hope it works out for them.

@john, you can say what you said 1000 times and these nuts on this forum still would not understand why we are not doing mass testing.
