@joeblow, you are absolutely correct! The victim mentality is what is keeping many blacks in America. How is it that so many Caribbean islanders are able to immigrate to the US and achieve great success?
Everyone agrees that racism still exists in America, but will blacks continue to lay down and play the victim? Everything Pastor Jennings says is true. They have so much opportunity but many choose to lead a life of crime. They need to get their acts together, pull up their pants and get to work!
This is a very unfortunate situation to be in. Sadly no one has the right answers. We can only go by trial and error and do what little we can to keep our heads above water.
It is frustrating that the country flattened the curve, but had some very irresponsible citizens who saw the need to travel and risk spreading the disease to their fellow Bahamians. Now everyone has to suffer tremendously.
You hit this one with precision Malcolm Strachan. This is our reality at the moment. People need to get a grip on reality. No amount of gripping about what should or could have been will change the situation we are in right now.
Let them know Minister Lloyd! At this point there is no room for negativity. These students have suffered through enough, starting with Dorian. This union leader is a troublemaker and I hope you learned your lesson! She is only concerned about herself and not the well being of our students.
The goal is to come up with solutions for a successful school year because I know that many parents can not handle the virtual school. These students need the in class experience. They need their teachers to assist them and provide the support they need.
If the union leader is not a part of the solution she needs to shut her big mouth, move aside and give people the opportunity to come up with the best solutions for these children.
@truetruebahamian, I admire his attitude and positivity! It's this type of attitude that will help him to rebound quickly. All the best to you Mr.Cove. I wish more Bahamians were this positive!
