Agreed, we all need to be responsible and follow the health and safety advice provided by the health offficials.

Wow, the last year has been really tough for the people of the Bahamas. We must trust God and do what is necessary to protect ourselves and property. Those who are able too are encouraged to lend a hand to those who are in need.

What a way to learn a lesson. Thankfully, for now, her 79 year old mother is doing fairly well.

@dawes, they will never understand because they dislike the government so much. Many can not be objective. I was trying to find where it said that people could not have their weddings. If you have invested that much money why cancel? I would have gone on as planned and cut back to the 5 people.

The tourists in Harbour island and the one couple in Nassau had the common sense to ask for permission. She could have easily gotten an exemption, especially since as she said the lockdown was not announced until 6pm on Saturday and her wedding was the next morning .I don't understand why everyone is up in arms about the wedding ceremony.

In any event, why are people still planning $10,000 weddings in these uncertain times. A small ceremony with an officiant is all that is needed. Parties and receptions can be planned for another date. #myfivecents

@stillwaters, that's just the way it happened. They went buck wild and are now suffering the consequences!

I have seen members of another media outlet questioning whether these new cases are really travel related. I am just shocked at how ignorant our people can be. All it takes is one person who travelled to come back and expose others, resulting in an entire community being affected.

We all need to do our part and be responsible if we want to win this fight against COVID 19!

Thank you Graduate. We live among some undisciplined people. They will never, nor do they want to fully understand why the actions of the PM were necessary.

A hard lesson to learn by those who felt the need to travel and not follow proper health protocols. Sadly, there are those who are innocent in all of this and have to suffer the consequences of people's irresponsible behavior.
