Where is the outrage for this precious baby? Several weeks ago people on this forum were crying over 3 thugs who were killed by police. Today, not a word about this senseless act. We have certainly lost our way as a nation.

I feel sorry for us. A young toddler was shot and in critical condition and no one says a word......sickening! We would rather waste our energies on thugs.

I pray that this precious baby recovers from this evil act.

What a fitting tribute to a giant of a man. You have lived and served your country well. My condolences are extended to his family. May he rest in peace!

Agreed @ Dawes. It's all a balancing act. We can not continue to hide in our homes and expect to survive this crisis eonomically. Covid -19 is here to stay. Sadly, tourism is our lifeline. We can't keep tourists out forever. Bahamians will need to adjust to the new normal and take precautions to keep themselves safe.

Health officials have reiterated what is needed to minimize the risk.......masks and handwashing are the order of the day. If you have a compromised health system or are elderly, then you need to stay home. Besides, herd immunity may be what is needed anyway to slow down this virus since a vaccine is still months away.

Whatever the case, the government can not continue to sustain it's population by being locked down.

Yes, yes, yes and yes!

Mr. Davis is just ridiculous. I can not in good faith listen to the nonsense he spews or take him seriously! At a time when the government and opposition should be working together to achieve a common goal, he makes it political.

Politics in the Bahamas is really exhausting!

Yes, this is very frustrating for health officials. There are many with the ability to pay but refuse to do so. They cry and make a fuss about payment, expecting everything to be free.

There is no way the health system can sustain itself this way. Then we wonder why the hospitals are run down and we never seem to have enough beds or meds to give to the people.

Somehow, the government must find a way to tax the people for health services. For those without medical insurance, their should be some type of contribution, perhaps similar to how they do national insurance, even if its just $5. We have to get serious in this country. Everything can not be free!

And people get angry at the police when they shoot 3 young thugs. These young thugs are creating harvoc on the streets and innocent people are made to suffer!

So sorry that you and your family had to experience this Sammy Star. We are better than this!

Ok, Mr. Hanna. Let's see how fast we can build a new hospital in Grand Bahama given our almost depleted resources and dire financial situation. Let's tell the thousands of Bahamian people who lost their jobs that instead of giving them food and drink and helping them to get through these last two crisis, we are going to use those resources to build them a state of the art hospital. Let them figure out where to find food and water and use the funds for a state of the art facility in Grand Bahama. Sounds logical and reasonable to me!

I hope people came forward to declare their relatives missing. All of this talk by so many about thousands of missing people and dead bodies. Let's hope that people did the responsible thing and went to the police to declare their loved ones missing. Without that, the police can never have the most accurate numbers.

I see no reason for the police to deliberately give false information. If a country like the USA, with all of it's resources, to this day **still** does not have an accurate count of the missing from Hurricane Katrina, I don't see why you all would be so critical of the Bahamas. The Bahamas, who in modern history has not seen any storm the likes of Dorian or any disease the likes of COVID- 19. People think this is a game aye? Well it's not! This is no time to be creating mischief and causing confusion amongst ourselves. Hurricane Dorian and COVID-19 already did enough of that for us!
