Mr Culmer, respectfully, if anyone in the PLP has any idea how such financial mechanisms actually work, they should be considered treasonous monsters and be held criminally accountable for their theft and misuse of public funds. The alternative is to assume they are witless fools and therefor you should not expect anything intelligent or helpful to sprout from them

Problem is that the average Bahamian who does go to work and do a good job can not afford to feed her family or pay his mortgage or put gas in their car to get to work. The next problem is how the hell is the government supposed to fix that ? In USA the president tells the people he is going to give the rich a ton of money and that the middle class and poor will benefit as all the profits trickle down. LOL. We got any Republicans base here ?

It's no big deal. My wife threatens to commence a “withdrawal of enthusiasm” every time I forget to take out the trash. She get over it.

Our entire economy is being held back by people who dont repay their loans. Whether it's these ridiculous government 'hand-out' banks or legitimate commercial banks such as CB and RBC. Successive governments have protected and shielded borrowers to the point that it no longer makes sense for anyone to be in the business of banking. People forget that a bank's primary role is to act as a mediator between people who have money in savings accounts and people who want to borrow money. The amount of people (on these message boards) crying about the evil banks lending people money ??? That's what they do ! Dont get me wrong, I hate the way my bank treats me when I sometimes feel like I am one the last of the fools actually paying off their loan. However, one should never forget that they are a business like anyone else and it's not really their money they are lending. It is your neighbor's money. The bank takes peoples deposits and lends it to you and take a commission for doing that. When the government does nothing but protect people who are not paying that money back it messes up the entire system and we are all paying for that with negative economic growth for the last 10 years.

It looks like another wonderful opportunity for some entitled elite's to partner up with foreign boat owners that are well financed and already set up to charge in and exploit the live lobster resources.....and leave the existing industry behind in the mud

Most people on the planet pay taxes. It's not so bad when stink-bag politicians don't assume it is all for their own personal aggrandizement.

This bill is taking us back to the good old days of 'wrecking'. Shine the light over here and let them bring a boat load of money, equipment and skills.......and when their ship has floundered upon our treacherous reef we can row out and claim it all for ourselves.
