this virus went around the world in two weeks. it crossed the equator and ignored flu seasons and it has moved through populations regardless of whatever measures were in place. Australia is an example of where they have locked the people down until they just can't take it anymore and bingo, the virus is straight back in there doing its thing. In the meantime, the reality is that we have all most likely been exposed to the virus already. We have all been to a social function on the weekend where somebody's family had it last week and we had a couple of drinks and took our mask off and had a good time. So for someone who had it already and is vaccinated and is perfectly healthy - to wake up on Monday morning and pretend that some nasty piece of cloth hanging off their nose is going to protect who ??!!

When are these folks going to realize that trying to stop the spread of a highly contagious airborne respiratory virus by forcing the entire population to behave 'un-human' is not realistic or sustainable? We all locked down for a year and wore masks for two years and pretty much everyone I know has had corona and got vaccinated. If the PLP is going to start setting the goons back on us to keep this fascist cult of covid charade up, they can start counting their days in power

SE Florida is by far and away our most important tourist market and they are not going to come here if the bartender is going to scream at them to keep a mask on their whole vacation........... And all you nannies talking about people dying. The only alternative this country has is getting down on our knees and going to the IMF and begging them for austerity. Dear TIO. If we do not have tourism we will all most surely starve to death! I am not saying that we shouldn't take the corona virus seriously, I am merely suggesting that we do not play this foreign mainstream media game of scaring the sh.. out of everyone all day and night. We all know it is amongst us. We all know people are sick and in need of medical care. BUT why do we need a daily death count plastered across the front page of the news ? Bahamar had a load of conventions cancel for the fall because our newspapers were touting that the hospitals were at capacity and the US Embassy had no choice but to put out a travel warning. It doesn't make sense. If you want to stay hiding under your bed so be it but if there are Bahamians that are brave enough to go out and work in the tourism industry to feed their families and save this countries economy...we don't need a bunch of bad mouth sabotaging our vital foreign income

Will the new powers that be please get it in their head that advertising these ridiculous facts is not good for our tourist industry. I am pretty sure by now that everyone in the whole world is aware of the dangers of Covid and that we are all supposed to get vaccinated or else we will die five times over. Papa Doc rode the emergency orders, lockdowns and daily rule changes down the drain and took the FNM and our entire economy with him. For what ?!?! The new world order ? Has the virus gone away ? Do we really still need to keep a daily count of how many people have died ? Really ? Isn't it about time that we took control of our own destiny and stop parroting the global mainstream media? We need to recognize that the only thing between us and financial oblivion is our tourism industry and if our biggest client (SE Florida) has decided to get back on with their lives and looking for a place to go on vacation........we need to be making the Bahamas as attractive as possible........ instead of chanting death death death !! Hey PLP - do you see what the FDA is doing ? They tell you to make a big fuss about covid numbers so that you can push their pharmaceutical products...........and then they downgrade our country as a tourist destination because we are advertising that we have too much covid. Minnis was so busy trying to be a corona hero that they made him fool.
