Let's face it. It was only a matter of time before the private clinics did not get paid by the government and they stopped providing the 5-day follow-up test service......

Faceless evil multinational corporations and crooked-as-a-dog-leg politicians - 1 point - Average American sick of watching their quality of life eroded by the communist-controlled globalists - 0 points. The mainstream media distracted us all with their relentless crusade against the Trump persona whilst the swamp made sure that nothing changed. Last year many millionaires became billionaires and our elected representatives moved about freely and gave themselves pay raises.....whilst we all suffered under lockdown and bickered amongst ourselves about whatever the talking heads on TV told us that day. I guess in the end, people really do only get the government that they deserve....

You are talking about 5 or 6 people versus a quarter of the world population right ??? Everyone I know to date that went to work and contracted covid this year....was back at work a few days later after having mild flu-like symptoms. And I do not know anyone personally who has even had to go to intensive care, let alone died. First hand, second hand or third hand. I am not saying no one has died but if we are all going to gladly break down everything that we have spent our lives building, I sure wish it was for something a little more lethal than a 0.01% chance of dying

PS - good on this young Bahamian doctor for standing up and speaking out his truth......instead of trying to ram an experimental vaccine down our throats

I have to laugh. We test them to come here is a success but if they test us to go there it will be bad for tourism. What a fine specimen of politics this guy is. At least we cant go much further down the toilet than 95% down since 2019 ? At what point in the destruction of every aspect of our economic system and way of life are people going to wake up and realize that the treatment of this disease is far more dangerous than the symptoms ?

If we let them - These doctors and politicians will lock us down until we are all starving peasants. Look around you folks. There are more bodies lying in the street from gunshot wounds than this so-called pandemic. Yes, there is a virus out there that can be dangerous for the old and infirm but the two weeks lockdown to flatten the curve is now looking like forever? In the meantime, there is a growing number of us who have survived covid with nothing more than flu-like symptoms and I have to wonder if we all really need to become dirtbag poor refuges playing along with this game

"after he (Trump) was pretty soundly defeated in the national election"

Four lines into the story and it is pretty obvious where the author's head is at. If you believe the most recent US election was a 'sound' defeat for anyone, you are not fit to be a journalist. Not in my lifetime has there been so much contention over improprieties and fraud and to waive this all aside suggests to me that you are a 'fiction writer' rather than a news reporter.

I am praying that common sense and truth will prevail and reporters knowingly manipulating the public for money and their own corrupt ideology will get what they deserve

Don't forget it was Minnnis who has caused the economic crisis. He played right into the hands of the communists that have hijacked the who, wto, un, and IMF. Probably got a huge back-hander to support the covid cult - global reset agenda without any idea whatsoever is really going on. Look out for Chinese state-owned Dominion voting machines to be introduced just prior to the next elections

The reality is that the only thing this travel testing regime is for is to try to convince scared Bahamians that the government is doing 'something' even if it is completely ineffective at controlling the spread of the virus that is already within our borders. And as short as 5 days is, it is still a ridiculous notion that people cant catch and transmit the virus within these time frames so to introduce a dog and pony show this late in the day is quite absurd and nothing more than an unnecessary drag on our tourism. Hopefully, all of the other big hotels will put their foot down, as Atlantis already has, and force the government to get over itself....

This has "China Debt Trap" written allllllllll over it.

Let see. $15 dollars for a pass to downtown historical attractions = $1.5billion dollars getting paid back at $1.50c (profit) per cruise ship passenger x one billion cruise ship passengers.....please ?!!! Of course, the reason we have a foreign investment approval process is to ensure that all the details are made available to the public...in their best interests.....the publics........
