If you really have a look beyond the chosen few examples that the fake media shows you - the reality is that most of the poorer nations on the planet recognized that they did not have the luxury of locking down and following the leader down the toilet bowl. This lunatic of a PM decided that we could run with the big kids. Play the same game as countries that can feed themselves. Countries that are not drowning in debt and 110% reliant on one sole tourist economy. Yes we all like to compare ourselves to America and all them but in deluding ourselves we have thrown down the dice with the devil

The author of this piece assumes a lot of things and also forgot to mention the 'ethnic cleansing' that is now reportedly being perpetrated by both sides in Ethiopia. Back to the point. A simple search dictionary defines {Dictator definition - a person exercising absolute power} so am not sure who is insulting who by suggesting that Minnis is NOT already a dictator. Yes, I do agree that the US would probably not tolerate another authoritarian government on its doorstep but so long as we all lay down and allow Minnis to be a dictator, there is little reason for anyone to do anything to alter the current situation

How about putting together a panel of experts that can devote 100% of their time to monitor the covid situation and make recommendations to a cabinet that can convene online at a moment's notice. Can we not make some exceptions to the constitution right now instead of trashing the whole thing in the garbage? The elected leader of this country has had several months to come up with a plan to return us to our constitution and any excuse at this point not to do so, is absolute hogwash. Who and how and why on earth would this one-man act as minister of health and now minister of finance and simultaneously be able to make a humane decision on who needs to be denied their personal freedoms in what part of the country this weekend.....and also carry out the roll of being PM whilst every aspect of the country's physical, social and financial health is in freefall. This situation is a total bunch of BS. Minnis is not a messiah but the cult of covid sure has turned everyone's minds to jelly !!

At least somebody is pushing back on the emergency orders. It is beyond outrage what the PM has done to trash our constitutional rights and abuse his authority to serve the people - and every day that a person like this retains unbridled power is a risk to all of us

that's all they need for my vote!

Hopefully, sometime soon, the rest of the business community in this country will realize what a colossal waste of time, energy, and money that all of these ridiculous government sanctions on business are - and push back on the one lunatic that is making them

These WHO/Pan Health guys make the mafia look like a bunch of girl guides. Give us $2m to get in line for something we haven't invented yet but is going to cost a lot and we may not have enough to go around. I wonder if they have magical coats to sell our Emporer as well ??

Bahamian lawyers and politicians are all so so happy to make huge fees putting their 'honorable' name on the line as a director or shareholder when these investments are going well..........and so so quick to go hide under a rug when things get squirmy. And yet another example of a foreign investor thinking he had some rock-solid partners managing his investment in the country, only to be thrown under the bus and labeled an evil foreigner when the time comes to pay anything back.
