the magistrate in Harbour Island last week was charging people $500 for first-time offenses for not wearing masks. People who haven't been able to work all year getting extorted by the justice system. In the meantime, everyone in Eleuthera has merely moved their social agendas to outside the weekend lockdowns because they don't have jobs because 99% of potential tourist business is turned away - either because the online covid visa system doesn't work, or the tourists have completely lost faith that our out of control PM will change the rules 24 hours before they arrive. The insanity of it all is withering.
destroy mankind.....please. A 99.97% survival rate is not the end of the world..........unless we all let the irrational fear of this virus destroy our economic way of life that is
The Bahamas immigration department does not do a single thing within six months unless you are paying people off and if you are paying people off, you do not need any laws to apply. What is interesting is that the WHO representatives were in town recently talking about the freedom of movement of people, and now all of a sudden in the midst of the damned covid cult circus these clowns are talking about immigration reform. Will be interesting to see what else they are slipping into the bill. Lord help them if the trans-gender-critical-race-theory mob discover the institutional prejudice shown to women in this country in the meantime
So let's see, all the lockdowns and destruction of the economy did zero to stop the virus from entering our communities. None of the travel restrictions, testing and tracing did anything to stop the virus from spreading throughout the country. Isn't it about time we faced the reality that this microscopic airborne particle can not be controlled by ridiculous random political policies ? The people in this country need to buck up and face this virus instead of cowering and crying for Papa Doc to pull a solution out his a.... or put up with this madness for long time coming
Europe locked down intensively all summer and soon as they came out of lockdown cases have spiked worse than ever. At some point, the 'cult of covid' is going to have to admit that the only thing lockdowns do is prolong the agony and destroy economies
Don't worry. Now Joe has won the presidency in the US the virus is soon gone. At least the wanton destruction of the economy by lockdowns and the media-driven fear-mongering will be gone. You see they have already droped the amount of testing and claiming the lockdowns have worked because fewer people testing positive :P Next will be information campaigns about low-risk people not having to worry about getting tested at all. Then the message will be that covid is just another flu and everyone will go back to the new normal and be grateful to be alive
the author of this article clearly states "await two days for results" so what you crying fake news about ?
as an add on to the story - I have some clients that wanted to book $10k worth of hotel rooms over thanksgiving and the hotel policy was 'zero cancellation refund'. Can you imagine what a turn-off it is to try and coordinate tests and flights at the risk of losing all of your money...........in the meantime there is more chance of catching covid in the Bahamas than bringing it here ?!
the government needs to carve out the segment of the population that is highly vulnerable to the disease. the old and the immuno compromised.... and make them follow safety protocols...... locking up the entire population indefinitely has not and never will make any sense at all.
