So according to Freddie, the New York judge among others are part of the "dark forces" as he used to call them that are conspiring to embarass the PLP. Good one Freddie. Foolnishess like this have caused you to never realize your lifelong dream of becoming PM.
These type of vehicles are not meant for driving into busy city streets. Not to mention that a lot of people who rent them do not even know how to handle them. But then again it looks we have an issue with enforcing the laws in this country. I wonder what the police will do, perharps distribute a safety paphlet like they did with jet ski operators.
@ThisisOurs, exactly, this country suffers from corrupt politicians who all they care about is fill their own pockets at the expense of everyone else. God forbid if someone makes a little progress for himself or has an idea that can help the country. The goons at Inland Revenue and other government agencies will be all over him, making sure he is taxed to death, and or asking for handouts until he gives up.
Let me take a wild guess. The cost of the clinic,if it ever finishes, will be double of triple at the end, and i doubt it will have the facilities promised. At the same time inland revenue will impose more taxes and intimidate businesses to pay more and more. All to satisfy the greed of " friends, family and lovers".
Besides himself his family and perharps couple of his cronies i do not think anybody really cares anymore of what Dr.Minnis will do. This is the price you pay for your lockdowns. Enjoy your political retirement sir.
Another"teachable moment". Sounds like the Bahamian people will have to pay even more now for a building that is supposed to withstand major hurricanes while its roof simply collapsed during a rain. Is it any wonder that the government is getting more aggressive in its tax collection? The people must pay for incompetence and corruption.
Very revealing statement. This along with with the messages and tactics used by DIR clearly show that the government is determined to tax the Bahamian people to the bone so they can keep the bloated civil service at our expense so they can get the votes. Not to mention of course the government contracts that will be given to certain people. Also an another commentator noted, revenue could be up for many reasons. I suppose in law schools they do not teach economics.
How about lowering the taxes for the Bahamian people so they can perharps see some relief? How about stop spending our money(taxes) in traveling for you and your entourage around the world? How about stop giving government contracts to persons whose only qualification is their political connections? Fred was also quiet on the recent NIB increases and the rising costs of business. So stop playing politics
