Never said that Simon was a politician. Reading properly,if it is something you can do,is always helpful. Politicians are not the only ones that can mess up a country. Civil servants can also do a great job
And then some people wonder why while taxes keep increasing the national debt increases also. Not to mention the "consultants" fees, the government contracts, and the increasing number of civil servants. Thank Brave,Michael and Simon when you see them.
Eliminating the middle man is another political gimmick so Davis can pretend he cares about the "small man". If he really cared he would cut the monumental waste that exits in the public sector so the country would not be bankrupt. Perhaps traveling a little less would also help.
Ego is a serious thing. He was voted out in the last general election, his own party didn't vote for him for leader. What else you need to realize that it's over for you? Put it plainly you will never become PM again. Is that so hard to understand?
What is wrong with using cash? Do not try to force something on people.Cash has been around for a while and no matter how "the geniuses" of this country try to deny it, it will still be around. Of course there could also be another motive for the government to try to eliminate cash. Digital transactions can be tracked down while cash can't. So if one day you decide to impose income taxes or something similar to the people,it will be much easier for the government to do so, with digital transactions since they will know exactly how much money everyone has.
All the money you spent on government contracts, hiring anyone to the public service so you can get votes, traveling with your entourage all over the world could be used to fix the public health system. Anyone can see what your priorities are. And on top of that,if you need health care you fly away. Of course the local health system is for your voters not you. Next time you need health service why don't you try PMH?
If it was the other way around, businesses owing to the government, DIR officials, politicians etc, would be all over the news talking about businesses not being compliant, imposing fines, sending armed officers to business establishments and confiscating properties. You got to love how Bahamian politicians treat the citizens of our country
@thisisours, unfortunately you are correct. The lawlessness in our country has become the normal, long time ago. Going "bar hopping"and then riding a motorcycle. In the recent past there have been reported traffic accidents from underage kids riding motorcycles. Did they even had a license? Does anyone care? I suppose I know the answer
If people were simply stop flying Bahamasair, politicians would not have any excuses for using taxpayers money to maintain this disgrace. Unfortunately Bahamians are only talk and no action. So enjoy your cancelled flights, and lost money, because you keep doing the same mistake over and over.
