All of a sudden we have a "mask industry". In the next few months and years people around the world will keep buying Bahamian masks. Add to that the "whistle industry" which is our weapon against crime and the economic future of the Bahamas looks bright indeed. Who needs tourists
Why people spent their money in fast food in such uncertain times is beyond me. They must either believe that NIB payments will last forever,or they are government employees " working from home".
Sunday they announced a schedule for grocery stores for the whole week. Monday they give 2 days notice for everything to shut down. Maybe tomorrow or by next Monday they will say something different. Do you expect people not to panic? Really sir do you know what are you doing?
Some people visit 3-4 different food stores everyday along with their entire families. The more these fools keep doing this the more people will get sick and the more the curfew will be extended. Some even claim that they don't have to work anymore because NIB will take care of them. Seriously, are there so many idiots in this country?
The problem is that many Bahamians now go to the food store because they want an excuse to go out. Not only this creates unnecessary long lines but creates more health risks that will cause the curfew to extend even more. It looks that the new daily routine is to go out with your kids buy them junk food and then hang out with them in the food store for as long as you can. We have so many fools in this country it is not funny anymore
Not every Bahamian lives from tourism. Yes everyone will be affected one way or the other. Yes unfortunately some people do not realise how serious that can be. The doctors give their medical opinion as they should. However the government has to be very carefull how it handles the situation because other issues may arise
I understand that doctors give their opinion and that is fine. However it is not enough to say that essential stores will remain open. The last time I checked you still have to pay for food and other essentials. If people can't work how will they pay? If you bring the whole economy to a standstill COVID 19 May not be your bigger problem
Try calling any government number and by the time they even answer the phone you do not care anymore. Also since when fast food restaurants are an "essential service" ? Maybe liquor stores and number houses are also "essential services"
There is nothing strange with Davis's statements. Like other great democrats like Pindling and Christie the PLP leaders not only believe that the leader's post is for life, they also believe that they and their cronies own the country
Missing records on a government run entity. This is a surprise. In the meantime all business persons please keep accurate records otherwise the tax department will fine you
