While large countries such as Australia and Canada have only embassies and not separate consulate offices in Washington D.C,we have Perry and Freddy with their huge egos that find it necessary to waste taxpayers money by having separate consulate offices in the same city.
No surprises there. Most likely the web shop operators would simply put the regulations and tax rates that suit them, and PC will simply sign them. A perfect example of government and private sector really "working together".
Congrats to the crisis centre for refusing the cheque. At least it shows that not everything in this country is for sale. Mr.Mller acted as a typical Bahamian politician. He feels entitled to do and say as he pleases and when things get tough,he is trying to buy his way out of the situation.
I don't feel sorry for them. Before last election they were strong arming the government to get what they want. Now it looks they will still get nothing. If they don't like their jobs they should quit. I understand web shops are hiring now. However they want only smart people.
We hire smarter people now. In other words we had some really dumb a....s working for us before. You know people we sent out to campaign for the YES vote, because we also believe in Bahamians
I would not worry too much about it. The "numbers people" could submit the types of regulations and tax rates they wish to have and the politicians will simply sign them
Few days ago PC was celebrating the relocation of bank branch like it was some kinnd of economic miracle. I wonder what he has to say todayy. Not much I suppose
Why don't we make it official now? Maybe from now on we should ask the web shop operators f they will implement VAT,how they will brrig more tourists and investors s in our country nd so on. It has now become clear who is in charge.
You should hear the other fairy tale they are selling now. Don't worry if Roberts shuts down because Wal Mart will be moving in. More jobs people. Wal Mart is simply waiting for Roberts to close down
