Mrs.Hanna and the PLP talk about transparency and accountability? Is this for real? Maybe she should explain how much her party received from the "number boys" as political donations Is this why they went against the will of the people in the gambling referendum? The PLP has a lot of "house cleaning" to do,and i am sorry i don't see this happening while the same people are at the helm.
PLP and corruption is one and the same. It's in their genes,so no matter how much window dressing is attempted it will be one and the same. Futhermore change is supposed to come with Brave and Freddie at the helm and Bradley and Perry in the background? Is this the joke of the year?
The IDB is more than happy to finance programs and projects they know fully well will not work. After all they will get paid back with interest. At the same time our politicians will borrow more and more just to show they care for the people. The real loser of course is the Bahamian citizen who will pay the bill.
like almost everything to which politicians are involved with we should be extremely skeptical. The millions of dollars wasted in BAMSI is a recent and painfull example. "Fish houses" have been built in the past in some islands with government subsidies and we all know the end result. I bet they will soon go back to IDB asking for more money to finish the project, and who knows they may have more industries to "revitilize" ,for which of course taxpayers will pay the bill. Should we expect another VAT hike in the near future?
@clamshell : lol you are so right, they can't even deliver a letter on time (if it is delivered at all) and yet they are talking about developing high tech industries.
"God can't stop me now" This is what you get for be an arrogant .... Why don't you join your family in Atlanta. I understand they are already there,or am I wrong?
Well done. The next step will be the devaluation of the dollar. Come on Perry and Michael finish the job. Merry Christmas from Perry and his Golden Knights
Sorry Sir,but it looks to me that PC and Co played the business community for a fool. all you had to do is look at the history of our politicians, especially the PLP ones and you could see that not only they are incompetent to run the country's finances, but they also don't care. Yet,you were along with them preaching about the benefits of VAT. Now if you really believe that PC and Co have any real interest in making things easier for small businesses you will be disappointed. In the end they will blame the "greedy businessmen" just as now they blame the "greedy doctors". It's all about getting more taxes and manipulating the ignorants
lol, not to worry, investors will flee when they will realize they are dealing with third world type politicians who can't even manage a small economy, with xenophobic and racist ministers, not to mention under the table deals
