Time for the doctors to hit the alarm button. Let's lock the whole country down, out of abundance of precaution of course. Civil cervants can still get paid while they are "working from home."

You just do not get it,doc right? You and your former's leader handling of the pandemic, caused so much economic hardship, that if you do not come down from your ivory towers and face reality you and your party might as well disband and say goodbye to your political careers.

How about making civil servants pay contributions like everyone else. And stop "bortowing" from NIB to finance even more public hirings, government contracts, and any other way you have found to waste the money of the people.

hj says...

Maybe the doc and his colleagues who locked everyone at their homes should go into lockdown for theselves without any source of income for over a year. Just to see what it is like. Can not they see as yet why they lost the election?

Obviously as long as you are a politician in the Bahamas you and your entourage not only you are immune to Covid but you are allowed to do as you wish. For the rest of us more restrictions and maybe a series of lockdowns may be necessary in the future. Do not forget all the decisions are made out of an abundance of precaution and after consultation with medical experts.

According to our politicians campaigning for public office is fine as long as you were a mask. All other activities could be extremely dangerous for the public health. Do not forget that all decisions are based on the advise of health experts and scientific evidence.

Excellent advise, does this include the politicians and their entourage that roam the neighborhoods asking for votes? How about the beach goers? Are they exempt as long as they wear masks and social distancing?

hj says...

I suppose the police have more important things to deal with such as making sure your car is licensed and you have your seatbelt on. Is it so difficult to patrol the beaches? Will you put everyone on lockdown again just because you are so lazy and incompetent to enforce your own laws?

Yet the politicians and their campaign workers have no problem roaming around the neighborhoods . I suppose if you are a politician or you work for one you are immune to the virus and the law. For the rest of us a lockdown is what is necessary.

Social distancing, travel without any quarantine or tests, domestic health visas and lockdowns are for the majority of Bahamians. If you are a politician you can do whatever you want. Not only that but your salary and perks are guaranteed. The people's PM.
