Some Bahamian citizens may consider that reading a report of a very senior Royal Bahamas Police officer and an officer of the Royal Bahamas Defiance Force , manacled, head bowed, arraigned in a powerful court of law, to be regrettable if it is the beginning of a movement to rid these two State Security institutions of the obvious odious corruption that pervades some, not all, of their ranks, then such a report may perhaps be greeted favourably.

And so it begins. Diplomatic protocol dictates that every arriving ambassador of a foreign country first first presents his or her credentials to the Governor General who represents the highest diplomatic office in the Bahamas. Mitchell has managed to upstage GG Pratt, and the American ambassador could have better advised perhaps.

The almost unimaginable depths of evil depravity exercised by these uniformed members of the State Security system should engender the most serious consequences to the scum who perpetuated it. Nothing will probably happen because that's just how things go in The Bahamas of 2025. Sigh.......

OK, but remember the serving AG had to give up his USA citizenship to get elected, and Pindling's father was a Jamaican, Mitch Hanna, DPM, married an Englishwoman, so none of this political theatre really matters to those who know and understand out history. sigh....

A country with an electorate of 200,000 voters; and a total population of around 400,000, cannot afford much, if any, fancy diplomatic presence in major countries. It is simply not sustainable and the only major benefit is to feed the hubris of elected politicians who have managed to persuade themselves that they are meaningful colossus's of leadership striding across the World Stage. sigh.....

Well, yes. There are some organizations in this country that I will never support with my time, effort, or money ever again. Sadly some even have a Royal Charter, which perhaps demonstrates how diminished is the British monarchy post Andrew Windsor , but also how diminished in integrity these Bahamian organizations have become.

The question is; will the accused ever return to face trial? Time will tell, but I know what many will be thinking.......sigh..

I much suspect that in other countries the driver of the vehicle that was driving on the wrong side of the road would be facing charges that would result in a custodial sentence; dangerous driving, involuntary manslaughter, however with the way our judicial system functions at this time the case would take several years to be heard. So what happens? Remanded to degrading dungeons of Foxhill, or released on bail? Such a sad situation for all concerned, two horrible and totally unnecessary deaths.
