What a very sad proposal. These ideas of creating yet another national holiday are always made by people who have never even tried to run a business and have no clue how wealth is created in a country. Each extra national holiday lowers the country GDP by almost one half percentage point. Just sad and clueless.

It is good to see a pastor putting safety before profit. We expect this from the RC's and Anglicans who both work on fixed salaries, but it is refreshing to see this with a Christian sect in which the remuneration of the head of the church is dependent on the size of the collection.

The comparison drawn by Mr. Carlos Reid between going to watch a movie for an hour and half compared to going to church for one hour is very revealing. Carlos understands that church is just another form of entertainment although much more expensive than going to the movies. When will the easily led stop funding the extravagant lifestyle of these varied church operators?

A government employee does as little work as possible. A president of a government employees union does even less work that anyone else unless I am greatly mistaken. I suspect that a Director of Labor labors even less than a union president. OK, sounds like he qualified to be a cabinet minister.
