I wonder why other countries do not suffer from weather like we have that causes BPL to shut down so regularly?

I think that she should have done this when she was in a position of power as a cabinet minister instead of saying that she wants something done now that she has no power.

The RBDF is a laughing stock. Their navigational skills are simply pathetic. The organisation should be disbanded and the tasks of intercepting migrant vessels and stopping illegal poaching should be contracted out to private enterprise.

This pastor Victor seems to believe that there is something wrong with the power company wanting to make a profit for it's shareholders. Why else would anyone ever buy shares in any company except to receive dividends from the profit that the company makes. Perhaps he is confusing businesses with non profit charitable organisations? Just another reason why churchmen should stay out of politics and politicians should stay out of churches.

Bahamian businesses must become very reluctant to hire any Bahamian workers because it will probably cost a huge amount of money to terminate them even if they engage in egregious behavior. The future of employment in this country will be subcontracting and employment under contract for fixed periods of time. This is the only way open to businesses that wish to remain viable. The Industrial Tribunals seem to generally favor the claims of employees over the employer. The only other option is to have a limited company with a small amount of assets that can declare insolvency.
