A bench trial has many obvious advantages however to work correctly it needs members presiding over the Bench that skilled in the law and incorruptible. To achieve this a huge amount of money needs to be spent to create adequate facilities, and the compensation paid must rise to attract the best of the legal fraternity. When deciding whether such an eventuality will actually occur it is best to consider past performance of the various factors involved.

Two men been arrested after knife attack.
Fifty years plus should we look back?
Did the letter written by Jeannie Thompson,
Manage to reach any Majority Person?
Or just dismissed at rhetoric,
A challenge to the body politic.
The politic few are getting wealthy,
A social trend most unhealthy.
But these neouveaux riche don’t give a toss,
Personal gain, everyone’s loss.

And this means what exactly? And how will it be enforced? Just another exercise in futility.

I am left wondering just what Mr. Mitchell fails to understand about the words "public disclosure"? Is it the public bit or the disclosure one that he has trouble understanding, because it certainly is our business according to the legislation passed by the plp administration many years ago.

This murder is very sad, as are the other 34 murders that have preceded so far this calendar year. The murderers will not heed this appeal to turn themselves in because it is self-evident that they have no heart, they would not have carried out the murder in the first place if they were burdened with a conscience. On another, less empathic, level it is important to establish that, unlike the partial destruction of the statue of Christopher Columbus outside Government house, that this horrible occurrence had no political motive behind it. Some few of still remember the danger posed by the Goon Squads of a particular political party in Lewes Yard in Grand Bahama many years ago.

A PLP minister rides the bus.
A cause for much publicity fuss.
Something Ping or Perry would never do,
It would make them look like me or you.
An emperor seen without his clothes,
Will soon be facing politic woes.
Is JoBeth the long game playing?
Time will tell and she’s not saying.

As a sideline; To remind those who might care, 15% of Bahamians (60,000 out of 400,00 are not connected to Africa but rather to Europe, a possible 30% more have a partial descent from a European forebear. This just might be be an asset to our nation.

Abilities his are somewhat Super;
Could predict the sale for a hundred Mill.
We waitin 'that for ever still.
A PLP Cabinet Minister would never lie,
Unless they they tought that lie could fly,
Right past an electorate D minus,
To give a majority jus like us.
Expect everyting to be jus the same.
PLP good at playing this game.......sad
