Up until this point Carlos Reid and Rodney Moncur have had absolutely zero impact on the country's disturbing descent to being a country with one of the highest rates of murder per capita in the world. As such they have both been a complete waste of our taxpayers money. Have they no shame? How can they collect that reported $5,000 per month and still look at themselves in the mirror? Perhaps I am just being naive to expect better.
PLP? Corruption? Say it not so, and just how much extra money did Ping have in his bank account? 1984 Royal Commission of Inquiry into Drug related Corruption in the "Nation For Sale" Bahamas. Kudos to Brian Ross. Know your history, people, or we gonna go there again.
My sincere hope is that if ever State Executions of convicted citizens is resumed , that one of these self righteous right wing Christian Pastors, who favour the death penalty, will be courageous enough to step forward from their comfortable and lucrative vocation (so called) to actually volunteer to kill the convict by placing the noose around his, or her, neck and pulling the lever. With this contemptuous bunch though it will never happen.
With all the killing so far recorded this year the country is on target to set a new record for murders in a year. We are left to ponder whether appointing six extra highly paid assistant police commissioners, and having our government pay some pastors to hold a public prayer service, has actually had any beneficial effect at all. Perhaps the pastors were not paid enough money, or perhaps there needs to be another six highly paid police commissioners appointed?
Well, OK, good idea, but you mussa know that it will go absolutely nowhere. If you think different then check check the historical record of this particular country. France is not Germany or the UK.
I wonder how the right honourable Dr. Hubert Minnis can reconcile his solemn Hippocratic oath. to do no harm, with his support of state executions? Did he have his fingers crossed when swearing that medical doctors oath?
