The Bahamas has experienced 30 murders in 58 days so far this year. If the murders continue at this rate, and no sane person wishes it to, then the total for the year projects out to 275 murders. A country's murder rate is calculated on the basis of the number of murders per 100,000 of population. Even people who did not do well at mathematics when in school we be able to see that with a population of 400,000 the country would have, if this trend continues, a murder rate of over 68 murders per 100,000 population. The highest of any country in the world. This both sad and disturbing. My condolences to to the hundreds of the victims family members. My business partner was murdered for his Rolex watch several years ago. The pain of loss never leaves.
No one works for the government except that they could never succeed in the private sector, where promotion and advancement depends on ability rather than who you voted for in the last election.
Not most all of them that watch it, not those under 18 years old, and the fact is that not hardly anyone over that age wishes to watch it it. So score 1 for the Evanvangentical religious right. Well done Moxey.

A few years ago I enjoyed a visiting a relative who lived in Stockholm, which must be one of the cleanest cities in the world. In Sweden it takes around $10,000 and several years to qualify for a driving license. In one of those strange coincidences, despite harsh icy driving conditions, Sweden has one of the lowest rates of vehicle deaths of any country. This is because of the proactive stance of the Swedish government. The Bahamas is a country where the road traffic department is so corrupt that it is an open secret that a driving license can be easily bought. The Bahamas records close to 100 vehicular involved deaths each and every year. Please do not blame the members elected to form the government, maybe blame the people avoiding their civil duty to serve on juries.......sigh......yep, think it through.
This is good. It makes a refreshing change from police persons being found be guilty of homicide in coroners courts, Of course they probably were guilty......

It may not be pertinent but a narcissist will always blame other people for things not working, he or she will never admit that they are ever wrong or at fault.
Statistics are truth in the raw, before the spin masters are able to reinvent them , why should anyone who is not afraid of the truth, be afraid of statistics?
