Arawak Cay food vendors sell huge amounts of fried foods. The oil used for frying must be regularly replaced. The used oil seems to have been disposed of by pouring it down the drain where it the congeals and blocks the sewer pipes. This is so unnecessary as Bahamas Waste has a program to collect used frying oil and convert it to biodiesel to run their garbage collection trucks.
The Bahamas Defence Force might learn something good from the JDF. The JDF were discipolined and reliable in Abaco after the disaster of Dorian, the BDF was busy shipping donated generators back to Nassau to sell and make dollars, or this is what I heard from sources close by....
How much of our taxpayers money has it cost to install and monitor the Shot Spotters system that the Christie government installed with great fanfare? It seems to be useless and a total waste of money, in fact much like the ........
My Good Lord. heaven forbid that anyone should see or share a vid of someone naked; we have only have had 28 young people murdered in full daylight on our streets so obviously naked women is much more important.......Sigh....

The country needs productive citizens who do not have a job simply because of political patronage; we have too many like that already; most all as State Employed Workers in the Civil Service,\. When women are forced to birth an unwanted, unloved child that they do not have the resources to nurture, and the state is also able to provide necessary assistance to the mother and child, then it should not be unexpected that the country has some dysfunctional callous people who respect neither other people or the rule of law.
With regards to your previous column; while your sentiments are right on point, as a self professed sailor , you should know that none of the boats that mentioned are actually "docked" in Montagu Bay, they are either moored or anchored, there is very little opportunity for docking particularly for transient yachts. Docking a boat requires a dock., most of these boats are anchored off in the Bay.
