Ride Share apps are brilliant. Most every democratic country has them. Whenever I travel to a developed country they are my first choice. The rides are safer, quicker, and more friendly. The feedback that the riders give after each interaction with a driver means that the rude, dirty, of dangerous drivers can be easily identified and avoided. The Bahamian public and visitors both would benefit greatly if or when introduced. Perhaps the FNM could add it to their new political manifesto, it should gain them a whole lot of undecided voters' support.

The BBC reports today that; "The production of solar panels in China's Xinjiang region has been linked to the alleged exploitation of Uyghur Muslims.". The UK national energy company cannot now use solar panels built with slave labour. Wouldn't it be great if we had an elected government that cared even a little about buying a product built with slave labour.

If the USA law enforcement agencies used "entrapment" then why is that a problem? Why even mention it. Criminals in the USA are convicted in cases that used entrapment frequently. Does anyone remember Delorean and his conviction of conspiracy to transport cocaine?

Wow, look here, the most entitlement minded political works union has managed to make an agreement with the most entitlement minded politically appointed management group, and all in an election year. Wow, who could ever believe such a thing could happen. Also, those Bahamians under the age of 11 years old, please make provisions for your retirement that do not depend on the gubmint sponsored Ponzi scheme called NIB......Jus' sayin'.....

What some might find interesting is this; if someone came along and erected several huge billboards on a property that I owned without my express permission, and was making money from doing so, without sharing that income stream, then there would be immediate work for my hammer, saw, and ax dismantling them. This has not happened on this piece of land controlled by the government ministry. Why not? Who, if anyone, in the ministry is getting part of the income stream?

Perhaps it does all add up if you know who the real hidden owners of the company are?

For as long as the current administration remains in power, remembering that Fillup Davis was Perry's DPM, there will be no investigation. Also we should remember who was rewarded with a knighthood. Perhaps if we all wrote to King Charles then that knighthood could be taken away. Wrong doing should not be rewarded even by such a vile , evil, and corruption smeared administration as that which was led by Perry.

This tariff is economically survivable for the Bahamas. Some GB jobs in the petroleum refining business on Grand Bahama will be lost, the crawfishermen on Long Island and Spanish Wells may take a hit, but since so many were/are supporters of You Know Who then I ain't checking for them anyways. The real danger may be in the soon to be released list of 43 countries which will have US travel restrictions. Obviously Haiti and DR will on it, and if The Bahamas then too then we are in serious trouble.
