I can only wonder if the Honourable Darren Henfield knows the history of this country, specifically, whether he knows that the governing authorities in power at the time fought long and hard against the abolition of the institute of slavery? Sometimes those outside this country do know better than the elected or appointed politicos. Just saying.....
When you have someone who has spent most of his life getting paid to say that a talking snake caused human beings to start wearing clothes then his credibility must come in for consideration by any thinking educated person. So many of these church business owners look to be rewarded by politicians with land grants or well paid government appointments; we must be very careful taking anything that they say at face value. There could well be a hidden agenda behind publically made statements as we have seen all too often.
Wouldn't it be great if The Labour Department could be targeted with an investigation to determine just what all these State Employed Workers actually do all day, if anything, ,and how effectively they do whatever it is that they are supposed to be doing?
If, as claimed, the government is seeking to reduce backlog of police-involved killing cases, then it will have to work both hard and efficiently. Neither of which qualities are usually associated with State Employed Workers. The Bahamas has one of the highest rates , per capita, of police involved killings of any country in the world. Good luck to all involved in this effort if it is real.
My question is; does it really matter whether the father is the biological father or not provided that he is acting as one? Is there something extra special about Bahamian DNA? Also should this testing be retroactive? If so, then plenty Bahamians might suddenly and surprisingly lose their ciizenship. The country was no choice but to spend 18 million or more of our taxpayers dollars on this luxury political junket for dozens of politicians and their hanger ons, how else will Anne Marie get to be called My Lady?
