History has shown us the a police force usually reflects the quality of the government that it serves to protect. A corrupt government needs a corrupt police force. An evil government needs a police force comprised of evil men and women willing to torture and kill political opponents. The police force of the Vichy French government helped round up and send off to be murdered French Jews, Socialists, Homosexuals, Catholics, and others. Look at the Peoples Republic of China's police force and what they are doing today. To claim that a police force is inherently good shows an ignorance of history and current world affairs.

Most of all the large real estate sales in The Bahamas are from one foreign owner to another foreign owner. The truth is very few people in the world have the financial resources to buy, build, and develop on a Bahamian Out Island. Just how many Bahamian citizens really want to live on, say, Bird Cay with mo one close, no shops, and only accessible by boat. But don't let me stop the plaintive whining.

So our Government appointed NIB board thought it would be a great idea to have our funds tied up in a long-term B$ loan paying an interest rate of 3.25% while the country is projected to have an inflation rate of 8.5% per annum. The bottom line is that in 10 years or less this "investment" will have lost at least half of it's value, Still much better than loaning money to Bahamasair though. LOL.
