The government consists of well over twenty thousand paid government workers. After the last election there was a change of; about 30 people, having been elected; and about another60 or so, having been appointed; but essentially we have the same twenty thousand state employed workers who could get almost nothing achieved in the rebuilding of Abaco in three whole years. They did manage to spend 30 million dollars or so collecting post Dorian debris. How is it possible to be so ineffective for so long while wasting so much of our tax[payers money? And don't even let get me started on the potholes infesting most of our roads.........

Most of , or perhaps every, police force have some policemen who are crooked. For instance the California Serial killer in California unmasked only decades after his notoriety as the Hillside tangler. The London Metropolitan Police Force recently had a similar officer albeit on on a smaller scale. It would be foolish to believe that the Bahamas has no crooked police officers. A crooked police officer will carry a ""throw down gun." This gun is planted on a person who has been shot and killed as a justification for the killing. And this is why it is so important that people killed by the police and accused of producing a firearm have their hands tested for gunpowder residue to ascertain if they have indeed discharged a firearm. Of course this will never actually happen and the country will continue to record one of the highest rates of police killings in the world. Sad really.

This particular administration it seems will avoid anything controversial as a matter of policy. It is also almost impossible for the media to interview any cabinet member as needed as the Firewall choirmaster stands largely n the way.

And no mention of the PLP goon squads and the Lewis Yard attack. How quickly we forget.

I can only wonder what the government employees at this tourist centre are actually going to do for 40 hours each and every week. I would get so bored doing nothing and achieving nothing each day.

If people would first; stop funding their various pastors expensive lifestyle they would have 10% more to spend on food. secondly; stop optimistically giving millions of dollars every year to the gambling houses, and lastly avoid processed and takeout restaurant food. Make your own sandwiches for lunch.

How does that old saying go; "Figures cannot lie, but politically appointed bureaucrats can sure put a spin on them.."?

If you Google it you will find that about 3% of any population is sociopathic. That translates to about 12,000 sociopathic Bahamians. This does not equate to being evil but it does equate to a need for the correct upbringing and socialization. Draw your own conclusions.

This country really need uber &/or lyft. It is the only way to defeat cronyism in the taxi business and empower ordinary Bahamians,
