This is a very professionally written letter, I believe they are known as puff pieces and are written to change for the better the public perception of the person paying the piper. The letter writer seems to totally ignore the fact that the numbers business was illegal for decades and only became a legal enterprise after Perry Christie took it upon himself to ignore the referendum on legalizing gambling that voted overwhelmingly to not make gambling legal. Perry also happily broke his own freely given promise that he would honour the results of that referendum and so sealed his place history for all time. Not a very good place either. It is very simple; the government either approve the price increases in these Breadbasket items or they do not. If they do not then the wholesalers cannot afford to import them, the retailers cannot afford to sell them at a loss and the items will disappear off of the grocery store shelves.
