Cmon people, don't run your hard mouths, we only be having elections for 50 years or so now so how you expect the department to get it right yet? Give them another 50 years at least to learn how to do this thing properly.
tribannoy. please tell me what beach access rights you are referring to? Are these rights in the Bahamian constitution? The UN Declaraction of Human Rights? The Geneva Convention, perhaps? An invention of your mind? Tell me please.
his report illustrates so well how the PLP have prostituted and corrupted the democratic process in our country. People vote not for the most able, the best candidate or party to lead the country to a better future but rather for the politico that promises the individual controlling voters the highest paying and most prestigious government job paid for by the taxpayer and future generations through borrowing. So very sad.
The pension for a retired Governor General is ridiculously high. The pension for a retired Prime Minister or his surviving widow is much higher than that of a retired GG. And if you are both a retired GG and the widow of a retired Prime Minister then it is hard to imagine how large the pension must be that such a person is getting. On a separate note I wonder the country is over ten billion US dollars in debt?
Why would Hon. Philip even feel the need to say that he will not interfere in this investigation? I mean was that even a possibility? And what about the other elected officials; are any of them likely to interfere with this investigation?
I must perceptibly challenge he vandalism offered the English language by the good Commodore. The wide spread mangling of syntax by state employed workers like the commodore and elected officials both is probably enacted to sound erudite, It fact it just is comedic.
The fast approaching fiscal disaster facing the country can no longer be simply deferred as has been done by successive administrations for the decades since independence. One suggestion would be to sell an out island or two. Maybe Abaco could raise enough to buy their long desired wish to secede from the Commonwealth and return to the security of Mother England. Alternately perhaps Bimini could be sold to Florida and Inagua to Cuba. This would surely realize enough cash money to pay a few civil servants pensions for a couple of months.
