Not sure if it's this daily but one of them carried the story that the 15 year old was hardly ever in school to the point where his school (GHS) is not doing a memorial for him. AF Adderley, however, is doing one for the 13 year old. I think this speaks volumes and I think this possibly is a case of bad company and possibly being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Whatever the case, it's very sad in particular for the 13 year old who from all accounts appeared to be a model child/student.
I don't know what's worse. A leader who's favorite words are "jobs jobs jobs" and "soon soon soon" or a wanna-be clueless leader who looking to fulfill a promise that he likely can't.
Jesus I actually agree with Mitchell. All the best and brightest are letting political ambition cause them to fall by the wayside and the country is left with scraps for politicians. Obviously if you're not aligned with one of the two major parties you don't have a chance. Pity!!!
Translation: The white knights have to maintain a hold in the FNM (who may just be the next government) so let me do my part to get in so I could monitor this fool who wants to be our prime minister.
I agree with the minister. My god at least give us some props for at least making an effort to regulate the jet skis. If after all that you still have incidents of tourists being assaulted - and from all accounts the incidents have diminished substantially- then I can understand your kicking it into high gear with the warnings.
I query if there is an agennda to discredit The Bahamas so that Cuba can be built up as the warning was published in a Miami newspaper. I guess like a proverbial Lazarus we're not even entitled to take the few crumbs that are falling from the rich man's table. How else do the tourist expect to experience Bahamian culture without interacting with Bahamians? Frankly. wirhout Bahamians there is no Bahamas.
As much don't care for Izmirilian's candidate, Diaglar, there is NO WAY in hell Frank Smith would get my vote either. He is such an opportunist who didn't do shi* for St. Thomas Moore when he had the seat. It was only after Richard Lightbourn got the seat that we finally got our holey roads paved. I'll take Munroe over his hip any day. He needs to stay in the senate where he can pontificate and collect tax payers dollars to continue doing nothing!!
Translation: Izmirilian I've already promised you in private that if the FNM wins the general elections I'm gonna get your hotel back for you. Now I'm putting it out there in the public so you'll see I'm working for all that money and the candidates you gave me.
What's wrong with this statement? First He's given the PLP a heads up to ensure he cannot break any existing contract with the Chinese like Ingraham did with Batelco. Secondly Bahamar is owned by the Chinese not the Government. The Government has no say as the Chinese hold all the cards and will use it to screw them over.
He and his Izmilriluan crew (headed by Diaglar) are gonna be one frustrated bunch IF they even get in.
Typical. Let's now bring in the foreigners to solve the problem. We gat an election to win so let's be reactionary instead of dealing with the problem 10 fires ago! After all, the Stem Cell Bill and getting the numbers boys straight was our priority when assuming office instead of dealing with the problems of the voters who put our as**s in office!
