You are both missing the point. They could have had 4 million people out at each rally. It's only the 410 delegates that can vote. I don't know why they keep making this about the numbers at each rally. If the majority of the 410 delegates vote for Doc then the crowd at Butler's rally can't do squat about it and vice versa.
The focus of both campaigns should be internal towards the delegates who CAN vote not this game they keep playing like the public has any say in the FNM's affairs. It's a stupid pitch and we are equally as stupid if we fall for it.
And the a** actually thinks that they love him. They LOVE that they have a better chance at winning with him at the helm. No wonder Christie has no plans to retire. I wouldn't either.
Because Minnis is their best hope for winning. The party will remain lackluster and blah until he his removed. If he stays, he ensures that Christie wins again. Frankly, if I were the PLP I would support him too.
This backlog was going on long before summer. People who put in for passports in November got them in March! How is that possible? And no one EVER answers the phone or if they do they transfer you to another ringing line! Public service in the Bahamas. Boy I tell ya!
If she wins the backers will suddenly appear. If she loses and you think they are struggling now, the general election will be worse. Minnis is his own worse enemy. Hell bent on leading a party that doesn't want him.
Why does the Tribune always go to these people for comments when their allegiance and agenda is so clear? Wells, Key and the like are some of the most disrespected and has-been politicians of the lot and we actually expect to get sensible comments from them on anything?
This doesn't shock me. The white knights have stopped their financial support because they do not want Minnis as leader.
Well his mantra is that he is for the poor man. Pity cuz poor man don't pay bills.
The day they get rid of him is when the party will be fully funded. They keep him and they not only lose the little financial support they have, but I guarantee they also lose the next general election.
What I don't get is why they insist on campaigning in the public arena. Isn't it the "delegates" that have to be convinced to vote for you (and by all accounts most of them are in Doc's pocket)?
