**decision is not a simple one, as some of our member churches have international heads that have their own dictates sent to them that they must conform to** I thought Christ was the head of. The church and we should honor our government. Gathering is gathering, period.
I hope so too. Cuba spends it money on education and health, as opposed to useless gadgets and gizmos.
Its ironic though. Just 2 weeks, ago, your MOE announced hiring Cuban teachers and people we bawling about their cousin from Canada who was a "true" Bahamian, who could not get a teaching job. WE are all interconnected whether we accept it or not.
I have no clue what metric, you are using, for desperation. If you are talking cellphones, and Ipads, and car loans, maybe. Countries that have no agriculture, import all, food, depend almost 100% on tourism..... Go figure. NOt throwing shade, just saying
It's sometimes problematic when young adults get involved in these matters as like that Greta who is being used as a pawn, these young people like to dash heat, but cry abuse when people respond.
All I suspect is this, you don't really believe in rights for all do you? At least not equal rights. There you are living in a foreign land threatening to grab their opportunities, while you want your dad to be handed opportunities simply because....... Hi figure.
Unoo fight out the blacks, so a so di ting set. People didnt want to do "dirty work", now people want to become apprentices when companies need to get their thing up fast. Sad Sad Sad
Why cryeith ye so much/? The Bahamas is a free sovereign state with Human rights and freedom of speech.
If Someone j\has a business and wants to play any type of music, it is their right. You instead of complaining can start your own music, dancehall, or dj service. In these other Caribbean countries. I can speak for Jamaica and Trinidad, there is no such movement blocking external music, its a lie. People mostly ghetto youth, simply concentrate on their genre, create music and promote it themselves through parties etc.
Why would you want the government to get involved in what people listen to. Its a free world, and with teh internet, no one can control what people listen to.
Bahamas is a blessed country, however like all places there are some issues. These issues can never ve solved by being jealous of other black folk who have come seen a niche and made a business of it. Go open your own fish fry and stop crying. If you came to Jamaica and opened a 100 fish frys, once people like it, they will buy and no one would care you are from the Bahamas.
Every country has a right and duty to protect their borders. Even if an influx of immigrants will not cost jobs. However he must not use the issue of Caricom free movement to muddy the waters with the "Haitian issue" ? Caricom free movement has to do with people who are certified in certain skills and these are defined. Are able to access unemployment in other territories if needed without Hassle. Minnis and his fear mongering crew must realise Free movement technically exists as Jamaicans don't need a visa to visit the Bahamas. He must also remember there are a few thousand Bahamians studying peacefully in Jamaica, would he like roadblocks placed to them having internships etc.
Negro the Bahamas has its own issues of crime truancy, bad school's, unskilled labour that will exist even if every Haitian is expelled and none are allowed to enter. In other words fix your countries problems and stop blaming Haitians
