I am proud of our highly educated, resourceful and courteous population who hold marriage and family in high regard. A people who always look to the future while offering a helping hand to their neighbor. A people who put country above self and refuse to look the other way when wrongdoing occurs. A people who hate crime and the criminal element; who do not spend more than they have. A country with politicians of the highest caliber, character and integrity, who always make decisions in the best interest of the country and her people! My heart overflows with joy when I check my BTC phone balance and the first voice I hear is in Creole!

I am equally proud of the significant infrastructural improvements that have transformed this country into a Mecca for the region and our negative balance national debt. I love our wide open well paved roads, world class hospitals and schools. Extremely proud of the reliable power supply and the nonexistent nepotism in government. There's so much more I could say, but I will leave space for others to make their contributions!

only animals without intellect would take the path you have presented! Your choices are idiotic and will only entrench the cycle of violence. Why can't you see that?

joeblow says...

... still not an excuse to commit crimes my friend. People choose not to embrace the reality that they can choose their future! Stop making excuses!!!
You are not responsible for what other do, but you are responsible for what you choose to do !!!!

Having character and integrity is a choice. People CHOOSE not to exercise that choice!! Stop with the crap!!!!!!!

joeblow says...

You fail to face the fact that poverty is not a cause of criminality, choice is. If poverty caused crime the rich would never commit crimes and that is simply untrue. There are many who were raised in the ghetto and in single parent homes who did not resort to crime as a way of getting out of their situations. I know because I am one!!!!!!!

Wake up and stop with the excuses!!!!
Stop with the idiotic excuses!!! Each individual is responsible for the path they choose!!

Apparently Bahamians are confused in thinking this is their country, There are certain groups that can do whatever they want without fear of the law. Workers from Mexico without negative covid tests before entering the country, foreign residents flying in on private planes despite Bahamians being stranded abroad and Illegal Haitian building whatever the hell they want without government involvement! The sooner people realize there are two classes of people in this country, the sooner the uproar will cease!

... there is ZERO excuse for pulling a weapon on the helpless and vulnerable at any time.
There is an excuse if its justifiable self defense. Your 'consequences' are simply excuses! People feel compelled to pick up arms because they CHOOSE to yield to their base instincts like animals, instead of choosing another way. Violence only shortens the lives of those who practice it! At the end of the day, its important to be in a community of humans to learn to act and think like one!

joeblow says...

... even if he was only thinking about his health he would not want buses packed. But is shows a simple truth that is reflected in the decisions of most Bahamians, they usually think of money first, NOT the consequences of their decisions!

Successive governments have pissed away the enormous potential this country had to be a beacon in the Caribbean and indeed the world through greed, pettiness and tribalism. I might just celebrate Independence by pissing against a tree to memorialize that!
