... we should be glad our waters have a chance to recover from them dumping their waste!

Minnis' inability to clearly articulate will make him appear more incompetent when he is compared to Sands. In truth nothing will change but the optics of the situation!

While this is an opportunity for Minnis to really take command of the situation and solidify his position as leader in the eyes of the masses, I doubt he has what it takes to pull it off. Lets see what happens!

The country has lost nothing, he can still give advice and input if he chooses! He resigned because he violated an executive order given by the PM. After all people are appearing before magistrates because they are looking for something to eat or getting water from a pump in violation of the PM's executive orders. The law should be no respecter of persons!

These islands must be careful about letting outsiders in, as they have no herd immunity to COVID-19 due to a lack of exposure. The scarcity of medical care could be detrimental if they start to have cases pop up!

The only thing we should be hearing right now is when he will tender his resignation too!

... this forum allows for differences of opinion. You have yours and I mine. I believe that is still allowed in a democratic society!
For those who are moved by words (as the simple often are) Sands did a wonderful job. For those who look at facts objectively its easy to come to another conclusion!

... based on your statement mankind (Chinese in particular) had at least 2 months experience with it and had dealt with several other novel pandemics over the past 25 years!

. yep, that settles it, its time to take the route of the sane and relocate to another country!

I would rather take a chance with a political newcomer who has common sense than a career power hungry politician with strong self interests!

The government has been playing games since Dorian, spending money on everything but preparation for the next hurricane season that is upon us.

They spent $6 million on domes for Abaco, $5 million for CCTV cameras, $9 million for a bridge in Andros, $17 million on drones, not to mention the recent promotions of police and nothing for hurricane preparedness and there are still those who think Minnis has done a good job managing crises! Amazing how gullible Bahamians are!

It may be time for a non medical person (a businessman probably) to fill the Minister of Health position. Specialists in that position generally do not do a good job, and certainly have not in this current crisis and its really the Chief Medical Officer and staff that deals with the kind of medical situations we have at present anyway.

The PM should not attempt to fill this position since his incompetence has already been shown with the multiple gaffes he made issuing "emergency" orders!
