... could it have something to do with her wearing them **while at work** in two different photos!! Well no, your idea that she probably just keeps them in her pockets while working makes more sense!
... again the SHIPS are registered, that has nothing to do with the people on the ship who are not crew. The ships should not be allowed to go into foreign ports that will not accept them, but the citizens (passengers) should be repatriated to their country of origin by any number of means!
If Bahamian politicians have proven one thing it is that they are incapable of planning sensibly for the future of the country, while they do a pretty good job planning their individual futures. This is simply an attempt to expand the powers of the PM and increase the entitlements for political benefit.
... actually the practical reason for not wearing jewelry is to reduce the potential transmission of the virus! Is that reasoning anti-Bahamian or racist?
If I am not mistaken the SHIPS are registered in the Bahamas, NOT their human cargo! A person does not lose their nationality just because they traveled away from home. Countries have a duty to their citizens and the Bahamas has to push back on this!!
These guys are always behind the 8 ball. A complete shut down should have taken place about 4 weeks ago. They were too busy trying to figure out what the economic impact would be after announcing the first case and delayed being proactive. They still allowed flights in from known covid19areas AFTER announcing positive cases in Nassau. They decided to take a measured approach after it was clear that they could no longer control the narrative. Now its too little too late.
People do not understand that a virus cannot spread without a host. If people stayed home weeks ago there would be nowhere for the virus to go and a lot of this would be behind us. We need to be a virus free destination BEFORE areas we need tourists from are virus free, so that we are truly ready to reopen. Anyways, lets see what happens!
...umm yes they can offer some protection if the right mask is worn in the right way. This virus is estimated to be about 0.1 microns in diameter. Because it is coated with body fluids in droplet form (meaning saliva or nasal discharge ) it is about 0.5 microns. Any mask that has a 0.3 micron filter system can offer protection (N95, P95 etc.) and is ideal in closed environments. Surgical face masks can offer some protection in open environments, but are not as effective in closed environments. Hand and face washing with soap is still essential (or hand sanitizer).
When I suggested stocking up on certain masks in early February from Amazon, certain bloggers scoffed and thought it was an overreaction. Well I have a good supply while there is a shortage of the right masks and will wait for this storm to pass while following necessary protocol! I learned a long time ago not to rely on the information given by government appointed health authorities when there are more authoritative sources!
