75% of children grow up in single parent homes where the focus is on survival. There is rampant abuse, neglect and lack of moral training and proper hygiene in the vast majority of homes. Most people have no respect for authority, moral values or human life, because these things are taught, not caught. Sexual immorality and preying on school children by adults is the norm. Little league ball games will not change that reality!
We have become a people who generally value money more than character integrity and hard work and there is no national interest in changing that. In short, the Commissioner is right!
It should be obvious that China would not attempt to build a new hospital in 6 days for 56 cases of a viral illness! Things are far worse than China is reporting and at any report of a potential viral problem in China, Bahamian students should have been relocated temporarily until it was clear the situation was under control! But then again our officials tend to be reactive instead of proactive!
