When he speaks about not letting HIS people down, he is telling the truth. The problem is he has and will continue to let the Bahamian people down just by existing!
No person with a semblance of decency and a conscience would show their face in public after the cut behind they got at the polls last election much less want to be party leader. But that's "brave".
This is a sad situation. The reality is the mother was getting help and decided not to continue to accept it. She voluntarily stopped her medications and the group counseling that was helping her. and as a result a child is dead. Whose fault is that and what should the sister expect to be done?
Elections are won by getting grassroots support. The DNA don't understand they can't do that through the newspapers, they have to have ideas that resonate with the electorate and they have to knock on doors! They are unprepared to do that and will soon join the likes of the Vanguard, BDP and Andre Rollins on the political scrapheap!
The charge of extreme puritanism is well, extreme. The mess societies are in is primarily because they have departed from living by principles and follow ideas instead. The Graduate should know that marijuana psychosis is a real problem even for first time users and cannot be compared to alcohol or cigarettes in terms of the potential danger to users. But, forget people let's just put more money in government coffers to waste, right?
Let our people become just another source of tax revenue instead of individuals we should encourage to aspire to higher heights!
